GW just announced a new exclusive model for Warhammer 40k, so we’re taking a look at the other 14 limited edition miniatures from them as well!
Check out all the exclusive minis that have been previewed from 2019 to now as well as a brand new independent retailer store exclusive mini in response to the crisis!
Primaris Lieutenant Amulius (Now MTO)
Lieutenant Amulius is Easy-to-build and was seen (finally) at 2019’s Adepticon as a surprise exclusive mini.
While he’s a normal Primaris Lieutenant on the tabletop, his model is definitely sweet and puts off a generic codex-Astartes vibe. GW also made him available through their webstore as an MTO release recently.
Primaris Sergeant Jovan
This guy was another store exclusive for 40k in 2019. And while he may be a Primaris, he’s actually not a Lieutenant. He’s got one of the more dynamic posing/bases that we’ve seen in terms of Primaris characters so far. At the end of the day, he’ll make a fantastic (insert T4 HQ here) for any Chapter.
Sister of Battle: Amalia Novena
Amalia was first previewed at a past Adepticon and we really didn’t know anything besides the model’s pose. It turns out that she was the store exclusive mini on June 29th’s Warhammer Day celebration. The best part is that she’s fully plastic and isn’t Easy-to-Build!
Sisters Cannoness
Looking at the new Canoness model, she was passed out to everyone that made it to the previews at 2019’s NOVA event. Now, she’s a staple among just about every Sisters list.
Note that while she was handed out earlier and considered (exclusive), she also came inside the Sisters of Battle Army Set.
Warhammer Day Unpainted Funko POP! Marine
This guy made a debut at Warhammer Day in 2019 after the earlier releases were of faction-prepainted Space Marines. (Ultramarine, Space Wolf, Dark Angel, and Blood Angel). The unpainted form sold like hotcakes as it allowed fans with custom/successor Chapters to paint their Marine exactly the way they wanted.
Leena Stormspire
This named Stormcast was a hero that was only available for store openings, refurbishments or relocations. Rocking a shield and sword, she opted for a more tanky-loadout over her battle-brother, Berek.
Berek the Indomitable
Berek the indomitable is a Stormcast that’s all about damage. With a big two-handed hammer, he doesn’t need to try and block anything.
Like Leena, he’s posed standing over the top of a Greenskin that he just batted the top half off of. Definitely a unique look for a character in your Stormcast army. He’s also a great alternate model for your Warhammer Underworlds Steelheart’s Champions Warband.
Larissa Shadowstalker
Larissa Shadowstalker is a Knight-Questor armed with a stormstrike glaive. She’s on foot and doesn’t have a shield so, in terms of in-game rules, she’s not the most high-speed low-drag option. However, she’s definitely got an awesome pose and looks like she’s been around the mortal realms a time or two!
Dacian Anvil
Dacian Anvil is the latest Stormcast special character to be previewed. He’s actually not available yet. He was supposed to be released at 2020’s Adepticon. But since that got canceled, we’re now waiting to see where he’ll pop up.
Catachan Exclusive- Sergeant Ripper Jackson
This is the first bit of love Catachans have gotten in a while from GW. This female warrior rocking a bionic leg is the latest exclusive mini we’ve seen previewed. There haven’t been any specific details on how we get her. But WHC did say:

Talons of the Emperor Limited Box: Valerian & Aleya
Models Valerian and Aleya featured alongside the book, Watchers of the Throne: The Regent’s Shadow are going to be coming in as a pair for all you Custodes/Sisters of Silence lovers.
MTO Librarian Terminator
Update: After GW’s 3rd online preview, he’s been announced as an MTO with two weeks of open ordering before they produce them and ship them out. Obviously, they won’t be able to touch him until the virus becomes under control and GW opens up their warehouses once again.
He was originally supposed to make his debut at 2020’s Adepticon. At the time of writing this, there’s only a few days left to reserve one for yourself.
Latest: New Sisters Model Revealed as MTO
This new Sister took everyone by surprise as we had no idea GW was even working on more exclusive models for the faction. However, this Sister is posed just like the famous artwork we’ve seen over and over through the years. In-game, she’s just a normal Sister so you could make her the position of a Sergeant in your force but that’s about it.
She’s Made to Order with ordering open now. At the time of writing this, there’s only a few days left to reserve one for yourself.
Independent Retailer Exclusive Catachan Colonel
In case you missed it, GW has been making massive headway in opening up their warehouses and online stores once again. We strongly recommend you check out the details for yourself right here. But on top of the great news, they’ve also just announced a new Catachan Colonel model that independent retailers will get to keep 100% of the profit on.
The new miniature seems to be inspired by the character Dillon from the 1987 movie Predator, right down to the fact that Dillon even loses his right arm…
Now, I know that loads of you love supporting your local independent stores, and as the warehouses come back online, we’ll be able to start resupplying them. While many of them aren’t open for business right now (and it may be some time yet before they are), we’ve come up with something special to help them out when that time comes. We’ll be sending our independent stockists a supply of a very special edition Catachan Colonel free of charge, so they can keep every penny they make!
Other businesses have been doing it and GW has followed suit. Way to go for extending a helping hand to smaller businesses during these life-changing times we live in. Once this is all cleared up, this Colonel is probably going to fly off the shelves!
Exclusive minis are usually hard to get ahold of. Especially in times of social distancing and quarantining. But as we move forward into the year, here’s to hoping GW continues to give us new ways to get ahold of these exclusive minis!
Plus, with two new Catachan models splashing into the scene as an exclusive, it shows that GW is beginning to branch out from the Space Marine/Stormcast factions which is always a bonus.
