New Necromunda & Warhammer The Old World Pre-Order Revealed
Games Workshop has just revealed an exciting lineup of new releases for Necromunda and Warhammer The Old World, all available for pre-order this week. From The Book of Desolation to Ogdruz Swampdigga Da Troll Calla, there is something for hobbyists from those universes to get hyped for! Here are all the details for these latest new releases, which will be available to pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST in the States.

Whether you’re a veteran ganger or a fresh recruit looking to carve out your piece of the Underhive, there’s something here to get your plasma pistols firing. Take a look at the latest and greatest offerings for the gang-infested world of Necromunda!
The Book of Desolation
The ruins of Hive Secundus, located within the Dust Wall, are inhabited by the twisted Malstrain Genestealers, who defy all things holy. Many gangs journey to this terrifying abyss in search of treasure. “The Book of Desolation” is the latest expansion for Necromunda, introducing new rules for four gangs and expanding the narrative. It also includes a multiplayer Underhells Campaign, new Underhells Scenarios, additional rules for the Abyssal Ferryman Teams, new Dramatis Personae, rules for Custom Rigs using the Cargo-8 Ridgehauler chassis, and the Trazior Pattern Sentry Gun.
Van Saar Tek-hunters
The specialists in the Secundan Excursion gangs of House Van Saar are known for their expertise in archaeotech, making them the first to venture into the Underhells in search of treasures. This particular set includes eight Tek-hunter specialists, consisting of two Gunteks, two Augurteks, two Bioteknists, and two Teknomats. Each pair can be equipped with their special gear or with a standard loadout.
Malstrain Genestealer Abomination Gang
The Malstrain is a unique and highly corrupted xenoform found only on Necromunda, created by the now-deceased Heretek Magos Biologis Hermiatus. These Genestealers, along with smaller creatures called Tyramites, are extremely dangerous and deadly. This set includes six Malstrain Genestealers, four Malstrain Tyramites, and various Malstrain Brood Scum heads that can be mixed and matched with other bodies.
Orrus Spyre Hunters
The nobles of House Helmawr often choose to break the monotony of their privileged lives by wearing sophisticated Spyre Hunting Rigs. These high-tech suits undergo extensive body modifications enabling them to partake in the brutal bloodsport of hunting the Malstrain. Among the favored variants is the Orrus Hunting Rig, known for its emphasis on raw strength over finesse. This collection includes two Orrus Spyre Hunters equipped with various weapon options and a Caryatid Prime, winged humanoids believed to bring good fortune to the nobility.
Malcadon, Yeld & Jakara Spyre Hunters
The paragraph explains that in addition to the pugilistic Orrus suit, Spyrers have other options for specialized suits that prioritize speed and finesse. These include the Malcadon, equipped with paired claws and a grapnel launcher, the Jakara with a monomolecular sword and a mirror shield, and the Yeld, which utilizes wings and paired laser gauntlets for ranged combat. The box also includes a Spyrer Hunt Master, an experienced hunter who can customize their loadout.
Trazior Pattern Sentry Guns
In the lawless remains of Hive Secundus, gangs have the freedom to utilize prohibited weapons from Hive Primus, including the Trazior Pattern Sentry Guns. These weapon platforms are designed to fire at any nearby target and effectively fend off Malstrain Genestealers. The package includes the components to construct two sentry guns equipped with twin grenade launchers, two with twin heavy stubbers, as well as two ammo crates and control consoles.
Yageloth, the Master of Whispers
In Hive Primus, House Delaque, under the leadership of Yageloth, known as the Master of Whispers, remains committed to fulfilling the will of the Silent Ones while others focus on seeking new technology in the Underhells. With remarkable ability, Yageloth embodies the Psychoterica as he carries out the house’s agenda. He has the capability to transcend his physical form, blending into the shadows, and then launching attacks with a lethal psychometric blade. This specific figure is included in the House of Shadows and is constructed from Forge World resin.

Ogruz Swampdigga Da Troll Calla hails from the murky swamps of The Old World and possesses a unique ability to harness Troll magic in battle, much to the dismay of his Orc comrades. His affiliation with these enigmatic creatures sets him apart as a shaman wrapped in the skin of a deceased Troll. This character is featured in Arcane Journal: Orc & Goblin Tribes and is crafted from Forge World resin.
Dwarf King with Oathstone
The Dwarf Kings are experienced and courageous warriors who lead their vast throngs into battle. They stand atop Oathstones inscribed with their accomplishments, exuding a sense of superiority that they use to issue challenges to their adversaries.
Dwarf Slayer of Legend
The Dwarfs who experience significant failures are compelled by their pride to become members of the Slayer Cult. They choose self-imposed exile in pursuit of a glorious death at the hands of a formidable adversary while wielding an axe. The Slayers of Legend embody the fierce Daemon Slayers and Dragon Slayers, exceptional fighters who are too skilled to perish and actively seek out the most powerful enemies to meet their end.
Dwarf Miners
Dwarfs make their homes under the ground and their holds would not exist without Miners to carve out their tunnels and halls. Miners accompany Dwarfen throngs in regiments equipped with picks and blasting charges. This box contains 20 dwarf miners with a command group, four miner’s carts, and a new Dwarfen Mountain Holds transfer sheet with 342 transfers.
Dwarf Cannon & Organ Gun
Dwarf armies employ a variety of powerful war machines to bring destruction to their foes, including the dependable Dwarf Cannon and the devastating Organ Gun, capable of decimating entire regiments in one volley. This kit includes all the components needed to assemble two war machines, either as Cannons or Organ Guns, along with six crew members and optional accessories.
Dwarf Gyrocopters
The lore suggests that the majestic flight of dragons among towering cliffs served as the inspiration for the creation of Gyrocopters. Originally designed for transporting provisions to communities in distress, these small aircraft are currently employed in combat situations to disrupt enemy flanks using potent ranged arms, as Gyrobombers armed with high-explosive munitions, or as Scout Gyrocopters. This set includes two model machines and a Dwarfen Mountain Holds transfer sheet featuring 342 decals.
Fortified Manor of the Empire
Also on the way for the Old World are several classic plastic terrain kits. These include the Fortified Manor of the Empire, which combines various structures with a unique upgrade frame to create a large centerpiece featuring Empire heraldry. Additionally, all individual parts except for the upgrade frame will be sold separately, along with the Arcane Ruins kit and a pair of plastic Warhammer Hills.
