New Space Marines rules are coming in White Dwarf 456 as the Silver Templars look to be getting a 9th Edition 40k update!
It’s about time for another White Dwarf magazine and Warhammer Community already announced that the Silver Templars would be the faction in focus this time around. If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s because we’ve heard about the Silver Templars before.
They first emerged out of Warhammer Conquest and had their own paint guide, a named character data profile, etc. With all the old stuff out of the way, let’s look at what else they’re getting.
Just a quick heads up – the magazine release in stores will be a little bit later than usual this month for readers in Australia. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out on your magazine! Issue 456 will be available to pre-order from September 25th and on shelves, and in your hands, by October 2nd. thanks for your patience. Subscriber copies should arrive with you at the normal time, around the middle of the month.
Silver Templar Rules Coming In Next White Dwarf LATEST
Silver Templars are the stars of this month’s instalment of the ever-popular Index Astartes series. You can read all about the Chapter’s background as well as their famed focus and fury – which also happens to serve as their battle cry! You’ll be able to field them in battle with a new Chapter Tactic, two Relics, three Warlord Traits and a pair of Stratagems unique to the Silver Templars!
Reaching back into the older Silver Templar stuff, we’ve already seen a few unique datasheets and Stratagems so we will have to keep our eyes peeled for any actual NEW stuff.

As one little cherry on top, the White Dwarf is also coming with a Silver Templar painting guide who’s color scheme looks somewhere in between a Grey Knight and Space Wolf.
