Lady Annika is the latest reveal for New Model Mondays the second named character revealed for the Soulblight Vampires.
Warhammer Community released some new Vampire pics for the new faction. GW promises to unveil a new mini every week that we’ve never seen before. Plus just weeks in we’ve already seen some big reveals, like Be’lakor and the Redemptionists. So it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on!
Some of them will be from previous Rumor Engines, so be on the lookout for some of your favorites to pop up in their full glory.
This week though, the Soulblight Vampires are getting some reinforcements in the way of Lady Annika. The mini is quite entertaining and just full of character! Let’s jump into it.
Soulblight Vampire Lady Annika: New Model Monday
Though she may at first appear every bit the ostentatious noblewoman, her serene poise belies a bloodlust that’s quite unlike any other of her kind. In battle, she plunges headlong into the fray to slake her terrible thirst. The fell enchantments that lace the Blade Proboscian are able to drain its victims of their vital fluids in an instant, which only serves to further fuel its mistress’ bloodletting until all around her lie slain. The Thirsting Blade indeed!
Since they say she’s more bloodthirsty than most of the Vampires, we expect some interesting rules. Maybe something like, after she kills her first model, she drinks the blood and gets stronger? Overall the mini is interesting and fairly sparse. while The Rat Prince was a mini full of little stuff everywhere.
They say she’ll be available soon, and that seems to be how the NMMs are working. Showing minis that aren’t that far away, and a little teaser before the bigger release. We thought they may use this to tease minis that are much further out, but it doesn’t really seem to be the case.
Either way, it’s great to see new minis!
