Even though all the minis haven’t come out quite yet, GW has increased their points to reflect their power. As they had more time to playtest them, they realized they could basically wipe armies in a single turn. So probably a good thing to balance them before you can play them.
Warhammer Community announced these new points changes and that the release date will be before Christmas. While they didn’t give an exact date, it looks like you’ll be able to play them before the holidays finish up.
The one good thing about this is with the models increasing in points, you probably have to buy less. Thus freeing up some of those hobby dollars for the holidays.

Stormcast Dragons Receive Points Increase Before Release
The Stormdrake Guard has gone up 55 points for 2. The interesting thing here is a single one only went up 25 points, so in a way, it’s a little bit better of a deal than before because it’s exactly half the price and not more (even though it is more points, it went up less considering). The Knight-Draconis is going up a big 55 points as well, which is honestly a lot, considering the book has been out for three months. Let’s hear a little from them as to why they increased the points:
They are very exciting to play with – incredibly mobile, with powerful shooting and great “alpha strike” potential, and these strengths are amplified in an all-Stormdrake roster. Our team tested these focused lists against many competitive rosters, and we found that when the dice fell in their favour, Stormdrakes were too dominant. We have proactively adjusted their points cost to more accurately reflect the impact they can have on the table, while preserving the flexibility in list-building.
