1st Place: Travis King, Aeldari (Eldar) Army Lists
The Craftworld Eldar took first place at the Michigan GT with a list that felt like an art form rather than a math problem. It was fast, calculated, and stunningly lethal.
From start to finish, every move was deliberate, every strike purposeful, and every casualty planned three turns ahead.
At the helm stood Eldrad Ulthran, his psychic mastery twisting the battle before it even began.
Fuegan followed close behind, his fire axe blazing through the haze, leading the Fire Dragons with molten fury.
Jain Zar then swept through with her blade, cutting through the enemy with terrifying grace. Lhykhis added her own unpredictable rhythm, weaving among foes with spiderlike agility.
Her twin blades and venomous fangs make short work of anything foolish enough to get close.
Meanwhile, the Corsair Voidreavers stormed the midboard, adding a touch of swagger to the advance. Behind them, the Storm Guardians surged forward with their Serpent’s Scale Platform, deflecting the worst of the return fire.
Next came the Wave Serpents, sleek engines of destruction gliding across the field. Their bright lances tore through armor while their wraithbone hulls shrugged off punishment.
As the battle raged, Howling Banshees charged forward as Rangers picked off key targets from the shadows. Overhead, Swooping Hawks rained death from the skies.
While Warp Spiders blinked across the battlefield, warping in perfect rhythm.
Travis built a list that just oozes purpose. Every unit earns its keep, every move hits like clockwork, and every target gets erased before it knows what happened.
Two full squads of Fire Dragons? That’s pure confidence. The Warp Spiders and Hawks tie it all together, darting across the board like caffeinated hornets with objectives in their sights.
It’s a masterclass in speed, precision, and knowing exactly how to make your opponent’s army vanish before lunch.
2nd Place: Conan Jennings, Black Templars Army Lists
3rd Place: Brian Daugherty, World Eaters Army Lists
Final Thoughts From Us: Michigan GT 2025
That’s a wrap on the Michigan GT, and what a shake-up it was. Eldar are back in style, (again), Black Templars proved they’re not just about angry prayers, and the World Eaters reminded everyone that subtlety is overrated.
The meta’s on life support one week, then flipping tables the next, and honestly, that’s half the fun. Keep your lists sharp, your dice honest, and your hobby knife sharper. Next event’s right around the corner, and who knows which faction’s about to crash the party next?
Until then, the 40k meta’s wide open again, and the next tournament might just flip the script again.
