This was one of the very few miniatures we had a chance to paint of our highest quality level – the
Emperor. We were told to replicate the basing to match the client’s existing collection and make the
whole miniature more dramatic and; triumphant, by placing the dead dark elf on a rock which elevated
him a little above the ground level, like he has just fallen under the hooves of the Tyrion’s steed – this
also gives the fallen a little more attention, when compared with the original setup.
The hardest but the most rewarding part was to create the embroidery on the horse’s caparison.
Overall certainly a project to remember and be proud of, capturing the old Warhammer feel, and a
the true centerpiece of a collection.
