New Archaeopter Ad Mech 40k Rules
There was an IKEA-style sheet of rules spotted on Reddit so let’s compare it to the old sheet and see what’s changed.

New Rules
New Bonuses (Stratoraptor):
- Cognis heavy stubber now Assault 4 (was Heavy 3)
- Twin cognis lascannon now Assault 2 and D3+3 damage (was heavy 2 and D6 damage)
New Bonuses (Fusilave):
- Cognis heavy stubber now Assault 4 (was Heavy 3)
New Bonuses (Transvector):
- Cognis heavy stubber now Assault 4 (was Heavy 3)
- Twin cognis heavy stubber now Assault 8 (was Heavy 6)
What we don’t know:
- Unique Weapon Rules?
- Hover and hard to hit?
- -1 damage reduction?
- Leadership aura?
- Fusilave bombs?
Overall, the Archaeopter seems to be getting strictly better with shot buffs and even a damage buff on the Stratoraptor. Assuming they keep all the unique abilities they each have, these will continue to be a go-to option for Admech lists seeking a flying threat.
Look for the Adeptus Mechanicus codex to hit store shelves soon. As it’s probably the next major codex release for 40k and assumed to be going on pre-order in the next few weeks.
