New Orks & Tau Boarding Patrol Boxes Values Are Just Wild

Here’s the value breakdown of the two new Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrol boxes for Orks and Tau with Farsight and Snikrot inside!

These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes made specifically to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers.

This is the fifth set or wave of Boarding Patrol box sets we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we know they will not all go for the same price as the Chaos and Tyranids boxes went for $125.

Now… the Ad Mech box is running for $140, and these two have new characters, so the pricing is on the higher side to reflect that.

New Orks & Tau Boarding Patrol Boxes: Do They Have Value?

As we said, the Space Marines box has been priced at $110, while the Chaos and GSC ones are $125. The Ad Mech box is now for $140; unfortunately, this is the top-end of what we’ve seen for pricing, but the value is still decent.

It’s also a little wild if you think about it; just two years ago, all the Combat Patrol boxes were priced at $140.

Boarding Patrol: Tau $130

This is hard-hitting force includes three Crisis Battlesuits and a squad of 10 Fire Warriors, who are perfectly suited for close-quarters combat when assembled as a Breacher Team. The battlesuits have numerous short-ranged weapon options, which offer great utility against many different enemy types in tight spaces.

3 Crisis Battlesuits $80 (including Drones)
10 Fire Warriors $60
Farsight $80 (the current kit is $65, and the Ghostkeel is $90 We think this is a good in-between, and keep in mind the same price as the new Chaos Daemon Prince on same size base)

Total MSRP: $220

Savings versus $130 box price: $90 (estimated)

Is the Tau Box Worth it?

With Farsight in there, they might “early” release his model only in that box. This means it could have some intrinsic value, but even at $130, it has a decent value inside. You basically get the Crisis team for free which is nice.

We’re just happy it didn’t run for the $140 price and put the value at an estimated $90.

Boarding Patrol: Orks $140

Snikrot has three head options – mask off, mask up, or mask down – and you’ll be able to get him first in the upcoming Boarding Patrol: Orks. This box packs in five tooled-up Flash Gitz, 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, and 10 Kommandos – their loyal Distraction Grot and Bomb Squig in tow.

Total MSRP: $230

Savings versus $140 box price: $90 (estimated)

Is the Orks Box Worth it?

Honestly, this has some of the rawest value we’ve seen! Even at the higher price of $140, this has some insane value inside. When you look at it, it has about $25 more value than the Admech box for the same price, so hard to beat that!

Either way, this has a lot of miniatures and will have the new Snikrot inside! The only drawback is that the composition of units inside is a little varied, but it would pair well with the Orks combat patrol box.
