New Space Marine Heroes Kill Team Boxes & WD Pre-Orders Revealed

Next-Week-New-space-marines-heroes kill teamHere’s the latest on the new Space Marine Heroes set for Warhammer 40k Kill Team, along with the September White Dwarf pre-order!

Games Workshop has revealed all the new releases hitting pre-orders this Saturday, September 9th, at 1 PM Eastern time here in the States!

With Tyranids now swarming all over the galaxy and their new codex up for pre-order right now, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the rest of the Imperium would be ducking for cover – but that’s just not the Astra Militarum way. Ursula Creed steps forth in her first full-length novel, chasing ghosts of her past, and is joined by more new releases from Black Library and the return of the Warhammer Heroes miniatures series.

GW Reveals A new Space Marine Heroes Set & More

A handful of releases make up next week’s lineup, spotlighting primarily Black Library along with some new Space Marine Heroes blind boxes and a new White Dwarf. Here are all the details from Warhammer Community.

Warhammer Heroes Series 4

Warhammer Heroes series 4

The Space Marine Heroes series of collectible blind box miniatures returns, now known as Warhammer Heroes, with a new set of lucky dip models. Series 4 comprises seven new miniatures from a variety of Space Marine squads, featuring Intercessors, an Assault Intercessor, a Heavy Intercessor, an Eliminator, and even a Captain, all entirely new for this set. They will be available in retailers across the United States, Germany, Japan, China, and Australia – but note that you won’t be able to buy them directly from the Games Workshop webstore.

But there’s more – unlike previous series, this collection can be used in games of Kill Team as a unique faction. Each miniature comes with its own Kill Team datacard containing their full rules and a ploy for the team to use, so all you need is any six of the seven operatives to start playing.

Special rules in Kill Team are a nice gimmick, so long as they aren’t too strong, it should be fun! Perhaps the rebrand to “Warhammer” might suggest AoS/Warcry is on the table for this product style now.
