The Grimpath Kickstarter combines the ideas of both a trading card game and fantasy wargaming into one package for a unique experience!

Each game will be played with a 30-card deck and a set of great-looking figures! The way they set this up lets you really get into the game easily (let’s be honest, TCGs are much easier than traditional tabletop games) but still be able to create a ton of awesome situations. The first edition will have 25 warlords, which gives you a ton of playability. Just keep in mind this is a Kickstarter, so go support before the project is over to take advantage of all the stretch goals and bonuses.

Like many card games, this will come with a bunch of different styles of gameplay, including standard, extended, and draft.

Since this is a little bit different from what we are used to, here’s a little on how the gameplay works:

In Grimpath, step into the role of a warlord, choosing from 25 unique leaders in the first edition to command your warband on the battlefield. Your warlord’s survival is crucial; losing them means losing the game. Tailor your decks to leverage your warlord’s offensive and defensive capabilities.

Each warlord offers distinct themes and gameplay styles, from healing your forces to wielding influence across all spheres, or granting your warband a decisive combat advantage. The choice of warlord and the strategy you craft through deck building are yours, inviting creativity and personal flair to each match.

In Grimpath, the battlefield is yours to choose! The starter set, along with our neoprene mats, provides an excellent entry point into the world of miniature wargaming. The standard play area features a 10×10 grid where players face off from opposite ends.

Each turn opens up opportunities to summon new minions, as competitors strive to outmaneuver and overpower one another.

Grimpath captures the essence of your beloved TCGs, transforming them into a dynamic, three-dimensional experience right before your eyes. But the adventure doesn’t end with the 10×10 grid. Our extended format allows for limitless creativity, inviting you to construct any battlefield imaginable.

This game looks like a ton of fun and should be really easy to get new people into, with plenty of playability.

Support Levels

The game will ship to Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and the US.

The game also lets you use whatever miniatures you want, but some of the levels also include some! This means you don’t have to buy new minis if you already have them.
