Come see the new rumors regarding the changes for the units included in the new Age of Sgimar Island of Blood remake titled Spire of Dawn!

Spire of Dawn is coming to Age of Sigmar, checkout the latest:

UPDATE: The Spire of Dawn is already sold out United States GW Site.

The portents have aligned and it looks like a huge staple for Warhammer Fantasy, the Island of Blood Starter is coming to Age of Sigmar next week!

Remember this?

Here’s what it came with:

This boxed game contains: more than 70 finely-detailed Citadel miniatures, forming two plastic armies: High Elves (a High Elf Prince on Griffon, a High Elf Mage, 10 High Elf Lothern Sea Guard, 10 High Elf Sword Masters of Hoeth and five Ellyrian Reavers) and Skaven (a Skaven Warlord, a Skaven Warlock Engineer, 40 Skaven Clanrats, a Skaven Master Moulder, two Skaven Rat Ogres, a Skaven Warpfire Thrower, and a Skaven Poisoned Wind Mortar). All 74 models are exclusive to this box.

Retail price is $80, and we know that at minimum from yesteday’s points breakdown there is 740 points of Skaven, and 820 points of High Elves (Aelfs).  Also according to the description this box set comes with round and square bases for each model!

Here’s the latest on what the rumored changes to the box set will be from Petrurabo

I’m quite surprised to see this news too, hope this is a good direction because from what I have seen, there is some quick lore on the boxset, name change for the elves, and some other info that I will nitpick to make it short.

Quick lore on the boxset:

” The Dawnspire stands at the edge of the Transient Isles. Immense, drifting islands of black stone hanging in the air above an azure sea, they were once the subject of foul sorceries, a powerful Chaos wizard seeking to bring them crashing down. The mages of the Eldritch Council were able to stop this foul ritual, but not before two of the islands were lost to the depths.”

Name changes in the Elf side:
Prince on Gryphon became High Warden
Archmage still Archmage? ( not really sure on the IoB name)
10 Swordmaster
Lothren seaguard became Spireguard
Elliyrian Reavers became Reavers

So this is the info of what I have seen:
– Complete rule to be used in the game ( hopefully there is an update in the warscroll)
-Background narrative as always (again, hopefully we could see the lore of the elves in AoS getting more explanation)
2 Warscroll battalion and 2 Pitched Battle Profile, one for each force
– Round and square base for each model
– stated in the last paragraph : “Previously only available in Warhammer Island of BLood, this is another chance to own these superbly detailed and dynamic miniatures.” It is stated as “Available while stocks last”

And we also have the first warscroll already in the Age of Sigmar App:

new spireguard warscroll

Now per the Spire of Dawn product listing it looks like Petrurabo is right on the money!

The box also includes the complete rules for playing games of Warhammer age of Sigmar, 2 Warscroll Battalions and 2 Pitched Battle Profiles, one of each for each force. Supplied with round and square bases for each model.

So look for this new starter set at a rumored ‘Start Collecting Box’ price next week from Games Workshop!
