The Idoneth Deepkin were spotted invading the shoreline at the 2019 ATCs. Check out this beautiful hand-painted army for Age of Sigmar!
The ATCs had players come from all across the country under one roof to roll dice. While 40k was the main event, there was also an awesome AoS tourney! This Deepkin army was just one of the head-turning lists that were spotted on the tabletops.
Idoneth Deepkin Washed Ashore: ATC Army Showcase
Coming from hobbyist Jonothon Anderson, these Deepkin came with a display board perfect for the tropics! All of the bases match the display, which is a huge hobby bonus in our eyes! Also, can we just point out that the starfish on the board is almost the size of a Thrall! They must be fighting in Ghur…
As a staple centerpiece model to any Deepking list, the Leviodon was spotted with some deep blue scales protecting his closeby friends.
As for the shock troops, Morsarr and Ishlaen Guard rode their Eels into battle and bought time for the Thralls to close the gap.
Speaking of Thralls, these guys are one of the smallest units of the army. However, each one is a piece of art! From a detailed base to edge highlighting on each weapon/armor plate it’s always sad to see these guys die in combat. But hey, they’re there to slap and then get slapped!
As for the leaders behind the force, Vulternos and an Akhelian King were spotted on their Deepmares directing their warriors. The ocean might be their playing field but you wouldn’t want to cross paths these guys anywhere. Check out the awesome blue and black scale pattern Vulternos’ mount. That’s a technique we’ve never seen before and it looks great!
All in all, this Deepkin list ran a variety of different units that all looked great. The Ishlaen/Morsarr Guard charged ahead while the Thralls and Reavers hung back around the Leviodon to get some cover bonuses. Awesome work on showing love to each model and having a great display board!
