Age of Sigmar Christmas boxes are back for 2026; find out the Battleforce price, savings, release date, and points breakdowns for each Battleforce.
There are two more armies’ worth of holiday plastic this year, so you’ll have to decide if these or the 40k battleforce boxes are going to get your holiday hobby budget. And there’s a decent spread here, too. Every Grand Alliance gets at least one box, and Death gets Nagash himself, a pretty big name for a Christmas bundle.
Of course, we’re still missing the numbers everyone wants. No prices or dates are here yet, but we have some guesses on the pricing and when they will drop. Plus, we have what these actually save us when they pop up alongside the Age of Sigmar pre-orders in an upcoming Sunday Preview.
AoS Christmas Boxes, Battleforces: Release Date & Pricing
- Six Age of Sigmar battleforce boxes this year, up from four in 2025: Stormcast, Cities of Sigmar, Nurgle, Orruks, Nighthaunt and Slaves to Darkness each get one.
- Nagash headlines the Nighthaunt box alongside 32 more Nighthaunt models: Court of the Undying King backs him with Dreadblade Harrows, Harridans, Bladegheists and Grimghast Reapers.
- No prices or pre-order dates yet, with Sunday Preview set to reveal them: GW says pre-orders open soon, so hold the value call until the price tags show.
- Release Date: November 27th, 2026 (unverified so far, but the boxes usually hit shelves or go on pre-order on Black Friday)
- AoS Christmas Boxes & Battleforces Retail Price (MSRP/RRP): $265 (USD). Regional pricing is listed below; this price is estimated from the recent Battleforce box price increase, and the actual price has not been revealed yet.
Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host Brings a Wall of Hammers
Stormcast players aren’t getting a bunch of line troops this time, as GW is going elite with this box. You’re looking at 15 models, all heroes and heavy infantry, with Bastian Carthalos leading the charge.
At the expected $265 price, the Annihilation Host saves about $123.50 (32%) compared with $388.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 970 points of models.
Stormcast Eternals Christmas Box: Annihilation Host Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos | $49 | 190 |
| 1 | Lord-Relictor | $45 | 120 |
| 1 | Lord-Celestant | $48.50 | 100 |
| 3 | Praetors | $60 | 120 |
| 6 | Annihilators | $124 | 260 |
| 3 | Annihilators with Meteoric Grandhammers | $62 | 180 |
| Annihilation Host Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $388.50 | 970 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $123.50 (32%) | ||
Three heroes in one box isn’t bad if you’re just getting into Stormcast Eternals, but if you’ve already got those, though, maybe that’s a little less exciting. For us, it’s the nine Annihilators that make this interesting. Getting that much heavy infantry together can get expensive pretty quickly when you’re buying separate kits.
Cities of Sigmar: Knights of Hammerhal Is a Cavalry Wing in a Box
Cities players get one of the smaller boxes in terms of model count, but don’t write this one off if you need everything inside. You’ve got Tahlia Vedra and a Cavalier-Marshal leading ten Freeguild Cavaliers; that’s only 12 models, but at least every single one is mounted. Still, a Christmas box with 12 minis doesn’t really feel all that great.
At the expected $265 price, the Knights of Hammerhal saves about $111 (30%) compared with $376 in separate kits and includes roughly 830 points of models.
Cities of Sigmar Christmas Box: Knights of Hammerhal Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Tahlia Vedra, Lioness of the Parch | $170 | 340 |
| 1 | Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal | $62 | 130 |
| 10 | Freeguild Cavaliers | $144 | 360 |
| Knights of Hammerhal Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $376 | 830 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $111 (30%) | ||
Really, those ten Freeguild Cavaliers are the highlights here. Once you start adding horses to a Cities army, the cost can climb pretty fast. Still, if you already have Tahlia, we’d probably pass on this box.
Maggotkin of Nurgle: Plaguesworn Host Is the Biggest Pile of Plastic
If you’re counting models, Nurgle wins this round. The Plaguesworn Host comes with 40 models spread across seven different units. That’s more than three times what you get in the Cities box.
At the expected $265 price, the Plaguesworn Host saves about $99 (27%) compared with $364 in separate kits and includes roughly 910 points of models.
Maggotkin of Nurgle Christmas Box: Plaguesworn Host Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Harbinger of Decay | $62 | 140 |
| 1 | Lord of Blights | $35 | 140 |
| 3 | Sloven Knights | $72 | 180 |
| 5 | Putrid Blightkings | $67.50 | 130 |
| 10 | Rotswords | $67.50 | 210 |
| 20 | 14 Pox-Wretches & 6 Mire Kelpies | $60 | 110 (Mire Kelpies not listed) |
| Plaguesworn Host Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $364 | 910 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $99 (27%) | ||
GW’s pitching it as a starting core for Maggotkin of Nurgle, with room to add daemons or big monsters later. And looking at how many bodies you’re getting right out of the box, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Orruk Warclans: Grunta Stampede Trades Model Count for Big Pigs
Okay, eight models might not sound like much after Nurgle’s 40, and it’s not really, but every mini in here is stupid expensive. Two of those high-ticket models are Maw-Gruntas, and you get three different build options for each one.
But that being said, we could see where this box may take a lot of flak because it’s not exactly the most appealing unless you literally do not have these exact models.
At the expected $265 price, the Grunta Stampede saves about $101 (28%) compared with $366 in separate kits and includes roughly 720–860 points of models.
Orruk Warclans Christmas Box: Grunta Stampede Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Tuskboss on Maw-grunta (builds as a Maw-grunta Gouger or Maw-grunta with Hakkin’ Krew) | $89 | 200–270 |
| 1 | Maw-grunta Gouger (builds as a Tuskboss on Maw-grunta or Maw-grunta with Hakkin’ Krew) | $89 | 200–270 |
| 6 | Gore-gruntas | $188 | 320 |
| Grunta Stampede Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $366 | 720–860 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $101 (28%) | ||
You get two massive character kits and six Gore-Gruntas charging along behind them. This is more of a fast Ironjawz hit squad than a complete army, though. So, you’re still going to want some infantry to back all those pigs up for sure!
Nighthaunt: Court of the Undying King Puts Nagash in a Bundle
This is probably the box everyone’s going to be talking about because it feels the most like a full army starter. GW put Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead, into a battleforce, and somehow, it still has almost three times the models as the Cities’ box.
At the expected $265 price, the Court of the Undying King saves about $103.75 (28%) compared with $368.75 in separate kits and includes roughly 1450 points of models.
Nighthaunt Christmas Box: Court of the Undying King Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead | $156 | 750 |
| 2 | Dreadblade Harrows | $32.75 | 120 |
| 10 | Dreadscythe Harridans | $60 | 190 |
| 10 | Bladegheist Revenants | $60 | 200 |
| 10 | Grimghast Reapers | $60 | 190 |
| Court of the Undying King Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $368.75 | 1450 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $103.75 (28%) | ||
You’re getting two Harrows and three full ten-model units to go with him. That’s a pretty solid start to a ghost army, rather than just a massive centerpiece surrounded by a handful of extra models.
And let’s be fair, Nagash is one of those models plenty of Death players have been eyeing for ages but haven’t picked up because of the price. If any of these boxes disappears early, we’d put our money on this one. But obviously if you don’t need that model you probably don’t need this box either.
Slaves to Darkness: Legion of Damnation Goes All In on Armor
Then there’s the other Chaos box, andisappearis one’s basically armor from top to bottom. You’ve got a Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount leading another 23 heavily armored fighters out of the Varanspire.
At the expected $265 price, the Legion of Damnation saves about $116.50 (31%) compared with $381.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 1090 points of models.
Slaves to Darkness Christmas Box: Legion of Damnation Values & Pricing
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount | $67.50 | 130 |
| 5 | Chaos Chosen | $65 | 250 |
| 3 | Varanguard | $112 | 290 |
| 5 | Chaos Knights | $72 | 240 |
| 10 | Chaos Warriors | $65 | 180 |
| Legion of Damnation Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $381.50 | 1090 | |
| Savings Versus Assumed $265 Box Price: | $116.50 (31%) | ||
The three Varanguard are what we noticed first. Archaon’s elite riders are the kind of unit a lot of Slaves to Darkness players keep putting off until later. Throw in five Chaos Knights and ten Chaos Warriors, and you’ve got a pretty tough elite warband.
It’s also got that classic armored Chaos look a bunch of us remember painting back in the day.
Final Thoughts on the Age of Sigmar Battleforce Boxes
Now we just need to see what GW charges for these things. They’re supposed to go up for pre-order soon, with an upcoming Sunday Previews giving us the release dates and prices. Still, the recent Battleforces went up in price, so don’t be surprised if these are a little more expensive than last year.
There’s also the usual stock situation to think about. Previous battleforce waves have sold out fast, so if you’ve already spotted one that fits your army, it’s probably contact your local store before pre-orders open.
