Ork Warbiker Lore is all about some of the most speed crazed Orks to ever grace the battlefields of 40k and their love of battle!
With Orktober in full swing, we wanted to take a closer look at some of the most fun Ork units out there! Today we’re focusing on the crazy Orks who want nothing more than to zoom through the galaxy on their trusty steeds! They almost never leave their bikes, so hunker down in your set and learn about some speed freaks!
Addicted to Speed
Once a Warbiker gets in the saddle for the first time, they have found their home. They only leave the saddle of their trusty bike when they have no other choice. Not only because they love bikes, but also because you can’t trust a horde of Orks around something that looks like so much fun. They are known as Speed Freaks among both the Orks and the Imperium, and for good reason. They rev their bikes as fast as they can into the enemy lines, grinning about the coming fight the whole way. Or even just around the Space Hulk when they get bored, who doesn’t like the smell of exhaust in small enclosed places?
What’s the only thing that makes a massive Warbike more fun? The addition of as many Gunz as you can fit on it! Every Warbiker is in a constant search to upgrade their rides with ever more firepower and speed. While riding is fun enough, it’s all the more fun when you can hear and feel the chunk of heavy slugs firing as you speed towards the enemy. They constantly upgrade the engines as well to leave their fellow bikers in the dust. With all the debris and exhaust they kick up, you want to be the Ork in front.
A Love for Battle
Nothing gives them more enjoyment than seeing the destruction they can bring before the other Boyz can even make it there. They rub it in the faces of lesser Orks every day, as they should. While a normal Ork loves battle, Warbikers take that love to a whole new level. After a good battle, they can’t stop grinning for hours on end, sometimes even days. They will just be sitting there and randomly burst into laughter at the memory of the latest scrap.
Have you ever ridden in a car without suspension? Imagine that times a thousand when thinking about a Warbike. Suspension is just something the Orks don’t believe in. No need to add all that fancy stuff when it doesn’t help you get into battle faster. they live for nothing other than the next fight. An Ork without battle is like a bee without a queen. Not too long before they start going insane.
Charging into the Thick of it
They function as the shock troops and outriders of the main Ork hordes. The amount of distraction and destruction they create would normally take entire mobz to do. They roar forward and try their best to cut straight through the lines. Once they achieve the first charge, they turn around and do it all again! They leave nothing but exhaust, destruction, and confusion in their wake.
