1st Place: Matthew Allee – Thousand Sons
Matthew’s two detachment set up of Thousand Sons starts off with a battalion led by 2 Daemon Princes and an Infernal Master. The DPs are both fantastic melee threats that have access to psychic support. The Infernal Master also has access to Psychic support, but it also gives the list access to the pact system for even more support options.
Troops bring in 10 Rubric Marines with 2 Soulreaper cannons, which are one of the faction’s best-ranged options. There is also 10 Cultist to soak a few wounds or maybe sit on a faraway objective.
Elites bring in a total of 20 Scarab Terminators, 4 of which are bringing Soulreaper cannons, making for some durable threats at rang and in melee.
Finally, the list closes out with Magnus himself! He is easily one of the best psykers in the entire game and can lay the beat down in melee thanks to his monstrous Daemon Primarch statline. Previously he saw a dip in play, but the NERF to Tau etc, may have given him more room to breathe as there is less risk of him being obliterated in one turn!
