The 40k Christmas Box for Space Marines, the Indomitus Task Force, is here, and if you’re thinking about buying the battleforce, we break down the models, value, and who it’s for.
Twenty-three Marines and a Redemptor Dreadnought for $265 is the kind of math that makes us look twice at the hobby wallet. The Space Marines landed one of the meatier boxes in GW’s 2026 Christmas Battleforce lineup, and unlike some of the other Battleforce boxes, this one actually feels like the start of an army.
So we’re going to break down the contents, the likely price, when pre-orders could drop, and whether that value is real or just big numbers on a box lid.
- What’s in the Space Marines Indomitus Task Force: one Captain in Terminator Armor, one Chaplain, one Redemptor Dreadnought, five Terminators, five Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, and ten Intercessors.
- Value looks strong: itemized MSRP comes out to about $380, putting savings around $115 versus the assumed $265 box price.
- Tabletop take: 23 miniatures and roughly 775 points, with shooting, melee, and tough bodies all covered, so it plays like a real army core instead of a pile of characters.
- Pricing: Assumed to be the new price increase amount of $265 for Battleforces.
- Release Date: TBD, but usually either goes on pre-order or hits store shelves on Black Friday, which could be on or around Nov 27th, 2026.

Space Marines 40k Christmas Box Values & Pricing
The Indomitus Task Force reads like GW raided every corner of the Marine catalog and grabbed one of each job. You’ve got a Redemptor and ten Intercessors laying down fire, Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs and a Chaplain to go start fights, and a Captain in Terminator Armor walking up the board with five Terminators who really don’t care how many bolter rounds bounce off them.

Is This Space Marines Box Worth It?
Well, you’re looking at around $115 in savings, and that’s a healthy number for a Christmas Battleforce. Better yet, the savings are spread across the whole box instead of leaning on one fancy kit to carry the math.
Twenty-three models also go a long way on the table. Ten Intercessors and five Terminators alone give you the kind of bodies that hold objectives, and the Redemptor brings the firepower to back them up.
Sure, there’s a catch for longtime Marine players. If you’ve been collecting since 10th Edition (or before), odds are a Redemptor, a Terminator squad, and a few Intercessors are already sitting in your build pile. So if you only need half of this box, the value shrinks fast. But for a new Marine player, or anyone starting a second Chapter, this is about as easy a pickup as these Christmas boxes get.
How Many Points Is This?
We would guess the Space Marines Indomitus Task Force points are somewhere around 775.
What to Buy Next?
If you want the Indomitus Task Force to grow into a full army, anti-tank should be your first stop. A Gladiator Lancer or a Ballistus Dreadnought gives you something that can actually crack enemy armor, because the Redemptor can’t be everywhere at once.
After that, more mobility helps. Another squad of Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs or some Outriders gives you more fast threats to pressure objectives while the Terminators and Intercessors grind forward.
Final Thoughts on the Space Marines Indomitus Task Force Christmas Box
At the end of the day, the new Space Marines Indomitus Task Force Christmas Box looks like one of the easier buys of the 2026 lineup. Honestly, if you’re starting Space Marines or a new Chapter this holiday season, it’s hard to find a better way to get 23 models on the table.
