Henry Cavill Breaks Silence on Superman (While Repping Warhammer)

henry-cavill-superman-custodes-warhammer-games-workshopHobby hero Henry Cavill broke the silence on his return to movies as Superman, while repping Warhammer 40k at the same time!

After years of speculation, the Man of Steel is back! Many people have been wondering about Cavill’s return to the iconic role, and it’s finally confirmed! While that is obviously awesome, maybe the better part is that Henry Cavill did it while repping Warhammer 40k! He wasn’t too outward with his love for the hobby this time, but most hobbyists spotted it right away!

He didn’t give out a ton of details this time around, but did post a picture of the Superman suit (which looks updated) and gave a little insight.

There are spoilers ahead for Black Adam! You have been warned.

Following his appearance (albeit only a few seconds) in the mid-credits scene of Black Adam, where he tells The Rock’s Black Adam character they need to talk, we know a full movie is in the works. We have heard him twice before in Shazam! and Peacemaker, but this is the first time we saw him actually suited up since 2017!

In the other two movies, it was just a faceless cameo, this time, he was actually there. As we said, the details are scarce at this moment, but he did thank everyone for their patience and said it is going to be rewarded. We hope this means the movie is going to be awesome!

With that said, his initial contract was for Black Adam and nothing else, but that might have just been to throw people off the scent. Now though, it seems about as official as you can get with him saying:

I wanted to make it official — I am back as Superman.

The suit itself looks to be somewhat updated but still has that iconic look people have come to know and love. While all the superman stuff is great, maybe the cooler part for hobbyists was the fact he did it wearing a Warhammer 40k Adeptus Custodes shirt!

Henry Cavill

Most hobbyists know by now that he reps the Custodes hard and has even put up a few posts on his Instagram painting the minis and pretty much always has glowing things to say about the hobby. Henry Cavill has visited Warhammer World, showed off his hobby desk, and more.

So, this is just really awesome to see one of his biggest announcements in a long time coming while repping the hobby! He’s also said he wants to make a Warhammer movie, but we guess we’re fine with Superman coming first. All we care about is that we eventually get that Warhammer 40k movie, hopefully with Henry Cavill as a main character!

The price really isn’t too bad, and there is nothing wrong with taking fashion examples from Henry Cavill. There might be a lot of these at your local game store soon! Either way, it’s just really cool to see Henry Cavill flying his Warhammer 40k nerd flag on such a big announcement!

Between the WWE and Hollywood, Warhammer seems to be quickly becoming more and more mainstream.  Check out more articles on Warhammer going mainstream below!
