Blood Angels scored a spot as a new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list from the Wild Hunt VII tournament!
Check out this excellent homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend that once again shows that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Top 40k Homebrew Army List: Wild Hunt VII
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
Wild Hunt VII: Aaron Butler – Blood Angels 5th Place
Aaron’s Blood Angels did pretty well at Wild Hunt with a Battalion led by Sanguinary Priest and Dante for two great stat sticks with built-in support for other models.
Troops keep it simple with 10 Intercessors for close range and Incursors for slightly longer range.
Elites then pop off with five Death Company Jump Pack marines running melee weapons for fast glass cannons. There is a Deredeo for some armored ranged damage Sanguinary Ancient to help out the total of 20 Sanguinary Guard, which are all mobile and versatile threats that can deal damage from range or up close and personal in melee on the charge.
Fast Attacks bring in a lone five man unit of Assault Marines for a hint of mobility on top of what there already is in Death Company and Sanguinary units.
The list then ends with six Eliminators to snipe characters and a whirlwind to help destroy chaff units and clear the way for the fast melee units.
