3rd Place: Pedro Reyes – Genestealer Cults
2nd Place: Andy Patton – World Eaters
1st Place: Steven Crawley – Astra Militarum
Steven’s winning Guard was led by a Cadian Command Squad and Death Korps Marshal for some efficient models that can give out orders. There was also a Tank Commander for a great armored body with awesome weapons and Solar Leontus, arguably the best HQ available to Guard.
Troops keep it simple with 40 Cadian Shock Troops, which are incredibly cheap and can pump out a good volume of shots each turn.
Elites have 20 Kasrkin, excellent all-purpose infantry, better than most standard troop options. Fast Attacks, just bring in two Scout Sentinels this time to help out with mobility and some anti-armor shots.
Heavy Support has the bulk of the list in it, with nine Mortars pumping out great shots from down range all game. Finally, the three pairs of Rogal Dorn Tanks are great armored threats that come out ahead of the standard Lemun Russ while being a little bit more expensive.
