The Biggest Threat To Games Workshop Since 3D Printing

Warhammer ai revolution videoThe biggest threat to Games Workshop since 3d printing is here, as one Warhammer 40k fan creates an incredible video using only AI.

The Warhammer 40k community is excited about the potential impact of AI-generated videos, and this development is worth exploring. A recent AI-powered video creator has done an excellent job of capturing the feel of Warhammer 40k, and this is an encouraging sign for the future of AI-generated content. This might very well be the biggest revolution that has threatened Games Workshop and Warhammer since 3D Printing.

The Biggest Threat To Games Workshop Since 3D Printing

Warhammer RevolutionWhen you see the first servo-skull, you immediately see just how much this feels like 40k come to life.

Warhammer Revolution 6This video short follows the path of a young girl becoming a Sister of Battle, and while the creator, bstuartTI, says it’s not exact, they definitely captured the feel of the Grimdark.

Embark on a fan-made odyssey into a realm inspired by the grimdark of Warhammer 40K and the Sisters of Battle. This short film is the result of human imagination, powered by generative AI.

Join us as we follow Leora’s transformation from a young aspirant into a fierce Sister of Battle, a devoted warrior of the Adepta Sororitas. Her journey from the trials of the Schola Progenium to her ascension as a defender of the God-Emperor is a tale of faith, resilience, and unyielding courage. However, as cool as AI is, it still required over 60 hours of work to create this final short animation.

From the initial storyboard, editing, scene selection and final composition, I enjoyed every step in the making. Making videos this way lends itself to incredible potential, but does present unique challenges in motion fluidity and image sharpness. However, these tools will only get better, and I’m excited to see what new avenues this unlocks for motion pictures.

As a newcomer to the extensive Warhammer 40K lore, this project has been an inspiring exploration. I hope this film resonates with both veterans and newcomers alike, offering a glimpse into a universe where the battle against chaos is eternal. For the Emperor!

Warhammer Revolution 2The creator comments:

Thanks so much! It’s definitely not perfectly accurate to 40k, but I did my best to capture the vibe. As the tools get better I’ll be able to get closer

Warhammer Revolution 5 Warhammer 40k aiJust look at the preachers; how does this not scream 40k?

Warhammer Revolution 3 Warhammer 40k aiThis battlebarge looks so good, and the tools aren’t even that amazing yet.

Warhammer Revolution 4 Warhammer 40k aiThey capture the feel of Warhammer 40k amazingly, and the hive cities look like something right out of the art.

Warhammer Revolution 9 Warhammer 40k ai

Warhammer Revolution 10 Warhammer 40k aiJust look at how good all the characters from the world look, and the creator says the tools aren’t even that great yet! We can’t really imagine just how quickly they can make these AI videos and just how good they will become!

Warhammer Revolution 7 Warhammer 40k aiThis is about as scary as we’ve seen something from 40k be brought to life.

Warhammer Revolution 11 Warhammer 40k aiEventually, the main character grows into a full Sister of Battle and starts battling Chaos!

Warhammer Revolution 12 Warhammer 40k aiWhile this battle isn’t fully fleshed out, even this scene looks amazing.

While it’s true that this technology raises important questions about the viability of Games Workshop’s Warhammer+ subscription service (and potentially a threat.) It’s also an opportunity for businesses like GW to embrace new ways of engaging with their audiences.

As the technology continues to evolve, AI-generated videos could become a significant trend in the near future, and companies must adapt to these changes.
