AoS 4th Edition Flesh-Eater Courts Rules

Flesh eater courts faction large Aos

Here is the latest on the Flesh-eater Courts rules for the 4th Edition Age of Sigmar from Warhammer Community. These courts are the rotting remnants of long-abandoned strongholds, with armies of ‘footmen’ wielding bone clubs, ‘knights’ on grotesque steeds, and ‘champions’ with razor-sharp fangs. They genuinely believe they’re noble warriors, but to everyone else, they’re just deranged cannibals drenched in blood and gore.

In their shared madness, the heroes of these courts perform ‘Noble Deeds’ – injuring foes, casting spells, or invoking miracles, inspiring their followers. To them, it’s all chivalrous valor. To the sane, it’s a gruesome Feeding Frenzy. Yep, welcome to the Flesh-eater Courts.

Battle Traits

Flesh-eater Courts Battle Traits

Heroes can rally their troops with calls to Muster Guard or Summon Loyal Subjects. And thanks to their potent Royal Blood, these abhorrants have insane regenerative abilities, keeping them in the fight longer.

It’s all about stacking up those Noble Deeds points and using them like a pro while leading these delusional cannibals. Get your heroes to strut their stuff, show off their authority, and engage enemy leaders in epic duels. Do that, and they’ll inspire their minions to fight like maniacs.

Not only can your heroes whip their followers into a frenzy, but they can also rally their knights and serfs, pushing them into the fray with newfound gusto. They bring wave after wave of warriors to the battlefield, drowning the enemy in a sea of ghouls with blood-soaked maws, grimy claws, and rusty weapons.

Battle Formations

Ghoul Patrol Flesh-eater Courts

From the outside, the Flesh-eater Courts look like a chaotic mob. But within their delusion, there’s a semblance of military order. The Ghoul Patrol, for instance, consists of packs of Crypt Ghouls launching coordinated attacks.

Other formations see the cannibal lords rewarding deeds done in enemy territory. The Lords of the Manor rally more troops, while the Royal Menagerie brings fearsome monsters to the fray, goading them to strike with unearthly speed.

Arcana & Incantations

Arcana and Incantations

These abhorrants also dabble in dark sorcery, much like their Soulblight kin. They can summon a Corpsemare Stampede – a horde of undead horses that tramples foes, dealing devastating damage.

Ushoran

Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion

When Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion, takes the field, the Flesh-eater Courts become truly terrifying. As the heart of the delusion, his mere presence can shake even the steadiest warriors, leading to disaster with a single moment of doubt.

Ushoran’s influence extends the Feeding Frenzy’s reach. His Shroudcage Fragment forces up to three units in combat to strike last, and his Glimpse of Delusion turns enemies against each other. As the Epicentre of Delusion, he can twist his followers’ reality, making them believe they’re mighty monster slayers or participants in a grand joust.

Marrowscroll Heralds

Marrowscroll Heralds

When Ushoran isn’t around, he sends Marrowscroll Heralds – vile ghouls bearing infected bones. These bones, considered sacred, drive recipients to madness, causing them to babble incoherently and attack randomly.

Crpytguard

Crpytguard Flesh-eater court rules

The Cryptguard are the most dedicated of the cannibal serfs, acting as bodyguards to the abhorrants. Their sheer tenacity grants them, and their charges a formidable defense, and their toxin-laced weapons can drive enemies insane with a single scratch.

Royal Zombie Dragons

Lastly, we have the Royal Zombie Dragons. These terrifying beasts circle the skies, waiting to unleash their Loathsome Descent upon unsuspecting foes.

The Carrion Retainers Spearhead traits mirror their full rules because the Flesh-eater Courts stick to their noble virtues, even in small skirmishes. Noble Deeds by the Abhorrant Archregent and Varghulf Courtier can send their knights and serfs into a glorious Feeding Frenzy. And if the fight gets too intense, they can always Summon Loyal Subjects to their aid.

“Spearhead” is a standalone game that’s just right for diving into epic battles in Age of Sigmar. It’s small enough to fit on a kitchen or coffee table, and you only need one Spearhead box to get the games going for the 4th Edition.

The best part? You can snag free downloads with different rules, warscrolls, and objectives.

So there you have it – the twisted, tragic tale of the Flesh-eater Courts. A once-noble group now cursed to live in a delusion, seeing themselves as gallant knights while the rest of the world sees them for the horrific cannibals they truly are.
