Drukhari, Tau, and Space Wolves topped the Warhammer World Golden Ticket Qualifier; here are the best army lists from the event!
The tournament is over, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies with our commentary on their selections.
Space Wolves Defend The Golden Ticket Qualifier at Warhammer World: Top 40k Army Lists

3rd Place: Robert Kimpton – Drukhari
2nd Place: Tony Barrett – T’au Empire
1st Place: Matthew McCurdy – Space Wolves
Matthew’s Space Wolves were led by Logan for a great melee model and charge re-rolls, Harald for Devastating Wounds, two Battle Leaders on Thunderwolves for extra movement and Lethal Hits, and a two Lord on Thunderwolves for +1 advance and charge to its unit.
Two units of Assault Intercessors bring in some standard close range options with the added benefit of Jump packs for solid mobility. There are also two Inceptor squads all running Plasma Exterminators for their fantastic anti-armor shots.
Infiltrators squad add another ranged unit this time with some built in deep-strike hate. A Predator Destructor acts as an armored ranged threat, while a single Scout Squad brings in the final ranged option as a cheap re-deployable unit.
Two units of Thunderwolf Cavalry are durable mobile melee threats, while three units of Wulfen trade in less mobility for half as costly bodies.
There you have it: the top Warhammer 40k army lists from the Golden Ticket Event were ruled by Dark Eldar, Tau, and Space Wolves.
Matthew’s army, with its balanced take on Space Wolves, was able to take down even the toughest opponents in melee with deadly Space Wolves models or at range with the stronger generic Space Marine options. Overall, this week’s army lists provide valuable insights for aspiring and veteran Warhammer 40k players alike who study them.
