Battle Traits

Ironjawz Rules 3These Mighty Destroyers, known for their raw aggression more than any other army in the Mortal Realms, are constantly itching for their next brawl.

Once per battle, a warboss can let loose all the primal energy of the Ironjawz Waaagh!, transforming their horde of muscle, iron, and boars into an unstoppable avalanche of destruction with boosted charge rolls and extra melee attacks.

Battle Formations

Ironjawz Rules 4

There are four Battle Formations to choose from, each with its own flair and chaos-inducing tactics. First up, we have the Ironjawz Brawl. These guys turn into a natural disaster, bulldozing through enemies with an extra melee attack if they hit an unmodified charge roll of 8 or more.

Next, we’ve got the Grunta Stampede, the cavalry crew that gathers speed and tramples enemies with unstoppable force. Then there’s the Ironfist, who pump each other up for even more carnage, proving that peer pressure isn’t always a bad thing. Lastly, the Weirdfist taps into the wild Waaagh! energy of their shamans, calling on supernatural protection to keep them in the fight.

Arcana & Incantations

Ironjawz Rules 5

While most Ironjawz think using their heads means headbutting the biggest enemy in sight, the Shamans and Warchanters are a bit more savvy. They tap into the Waaagh! energy to crank up their combat skills. “Bash ‘Em Ladz!” is the prime example of an Orruk spell – it takes what the Ironjawz do best and amps it up.

The shaman’s magic turns their weapons into Crit (2 Hits) machines for the rest of the turn, making them even more devastating in the thick of battle.

4th Edition AoS Rules: Ironjawz Warscrolls

Gordrakk

Ironjawz Rules 6

Only a few orruks can unite the many Ironjawz clans under one banner, but for Gordrakk, the Fist of Gork, it’s his life’s mission to rally all of Orruk-kind into a Waaagh! so mighty that he becomes the true heir of Gorkamorka’s will.

This unstoppable Megaboss gains Strength from Victory, getting stronger with every enemy unit he crushes. He can rack up to three Waaagh! Tokens, each giving him an extra attack. Gordrakk’s booming commands, echoing the Voice of Gork, make any Waaagh! he calls even more ferocious.

His twin weapons, Smasha and Kunnin’, have taken down countless heroes, while his loyal Maw-krusha mount, Bigteef, devours infantry whole and takes down monsters with ease.

Warchanter

Ironjawz Rules 7

Every Warchanter is a priest of Gorkamorka and a living conduit for Waaagh! energy. They pound out the primal war rhythms that drive their fellow orruks into a battle frenzy, but they’re not just hype men—they love diving into the fray themselves.

Ironjawz Rules 8

When they smash enemies with the Rhythm of Destruction, each fallen foe amps up the Waaagh!, giving the Warchanter D3 ritual points for their chanting rolls. Their rhythmic abilities are now like prayers, as shown above.

Brutes

Ironjawz Rules 9

Brutes are the iron-fisted enforcers of the Ironjawz, each a battle-hardened veteran who’s racked up a hefty body count.

Their gnarly weapons might look like rough chunks of iron, but in these hulking orruks’ hands, they slice through infantry like a hot knife through grots. With a bellow of “You Messin’?”, the Brutes bully weaker foes off objectives, securing ground for the Waaagh!

Maw-Grunta

Ironjawz Rules 10

Especially reckless orruks might try to tame a Maw-Grunta for their rampages, but it usually takes a whole gang to bring one under control.

A Maw-Grunta with a Hakkin’ Crew has Unstoppable Momentum in battle, racking up momentum points when it runs or charges, channeling that deadly force into its massive tusks. With Ironjawz chained to its sides, these wild beasts Carve a Path through hordes of enemies, dishing out mortal damage as they go.

The Orruk Warclans Spearhead is a good starting point for those looking to build an Orruk army led by a Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof.

“Spearhead” is a standalone game that’s just right for diving into epic battles in Age of Sigmar. It’s small enough to fit on a kitchen or coffee table, and you only need one Spearhead box to get the games going for the 4th Edition. While Orruks haven’t received a true Spearhead box, they still have rules for this box.

The best part? You can snag free downloads with different rules, warscrolls, and objectives.

So there you have it, the Ironjawz in all their brutal glory. From their unquenchable thirst for battle to the primal energy of the Waaagh!, these Orruks are a force to be reckoned with.
