1st Place: Charles Barber – Aeldari  / Eldar Army Lists

At the Coastal Assault, Charles’ Eldar army stormed the tournament with an elegant blend of speed, firepower, and downright terrifying melee threats. This list wasn’t just a force to be reckoned with—it was a showcase of Eldar mastery, combining the sleek efficiency of Craftworld units with the haunting lethality of the Ynnari.

Let’s take a closer look at how Charles’ combination of legendary heroes, pinpoint firepower, and fast-moving tanks brought victory to the Aeldari.

At the heart of Charles’ list was an impressive lineup of iconic Eldar characters. Leading the charge was an Autarch, providing vital Command Points generation to keep the army’s tricks flowing smoothly. The Farseer brought the signature Eldar touch of psychic power and fate manipulation, throwing out mortal wounds and ensuring key rolls went Charles’ way.

The Yncarne, Yvraine, and The Visarch made up the Ynnari trifecta, combining mobility, psychic power, and melee lethality into a devastating package. The Yncarne in particular served as a massive mobile threat, teleporting across the battlefield whenever a unit was destroyed, bringing a terrifying presence that kept opponents second-guessing every move.

Rounding out the leadership was the Avatar of Khaine, the fiery embodiment of the Eldar war god. This towering melee juggernaut doesn’t just hit hard—it inspires nearby units to fight harder and refuse to break. With the Avatar striding onto the battlefield, Charles had a centerpiece model that screamed both power and style.

And let’s not forget the Death Jester, a lone operative who brought pinpoint ranged firepower and an unsettling aura to the list. Whether picking off key targets or holding objectives with flair, the Death Jester added a unique touch of Harlequin flair to the army.

Mobility is the name of the game for the Eldar, and Charles’ list delivered with a well-rounded selection of vehicles. A single Wave Serpent provided reliable transport and protection in the early turns, ensuring that key units could get into position without taking unnecessary risks.

For heavy fire support, the Fire Prism and Night Spinner brought the heat. The Fire Prism’s long-range, high-damage shots made it perfect for taking down big threats, while the Night Spinner offered mobility and suppression fire that kept enemy units pinned down or on the run.

A unit of Rangers added some much-needed utility and cheap bodies for holding objectives or screening key units. Their ability to harass enemy backlines and stay relatively hidden made them a sneaky but effective addition to the list.

To round out the firepower, Charles included a unit of War Walkers. These semi-armored walkers brought additional ranged support, filling gaps in the army’s firepower and providing a flexible option for dealing with mid-range threats.

The blend of Craftworld, Ynnari, and Harlequin units showcased the best of what the Eldar have to offer, making the list as versatile as it was lethal.
