Erie, PA hosted 31 players over the weekend of September 26-27, and King’s walker-packed Ork had a perfect run. We saw a Necron list pull off the same kind of domination at the Silver State Classic 2026 army lists, but doing it with a pile of Killa Kans? That’s a whole different kind of WAAAGH!
Right behind him, the podium turned into an Imperium party of sorts. Joseph Sault’s Imperial Agents and Clair Bigelow’s Custodes both finished 4-1, and if you’ve been following 40k tournament results since the Lone Star Open 2026 army lists kicked off the 11th Edition GT season, seeing Imperial Agents at the top can be rare.
2026 Wars on the Shore GT: Top 3 Warhammer 40k Army Lists
- Travis King’s Dread Mob Orks posted 100 battle points in every single round of the event: His closest game came in the final round against the second-place finisher, and he still won it by 27.
- Joseph Sault’s Imperial Agents survived two nail-biters before running into the Orks in round 5: Wins by 6 and 3 battle points kept him rolling long enough to get a shot at the title.
- Clair Bigelow’s Lions of the Emperor Custodes won four of five games by 50 or more: One round 3 loss to Necrons was the only blemish on the weekend.
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can walk back through the whole event with real pairings and battle point data.
One quick note before we get into the lists: four of the top eight, including the winner and third place, were flying the Admiral Ackbar Assassination Association team banner. Safe to say that crew did its homework.
Dread Mob Orks Scored Five Straight 100s

If you’ve been looking at the new Codex Orks detachments wondering which one would crack the GT scene first, well, Dread Mob may have just answered that question…
Dread Mob Roster Breakdown
Start with the Kans, because there are a lot of them. King runs two full units of six Killa Kans, so that’s twelve tin cans stomping around before we even get to the bigger stuff. Then you’ve got three Big Mek Dakkarig walkers, with one carrying Dreadherder.
Nazdreg is the Warlord, moving up with three Meganobz on Twin Killsaws, while a Big Mek in Mega Armor with Supa-glowy Fing and a Warboss round out the leadership. Nobody’s hanging around in the back here; the characters are coming right up the board with everything else.
For anti-tank, two Meks each lead a squad of Tankbustas, so there are plenty of rokkits in a list already covered in walkers. Finally, two squads of Gretchin and a single Trukk take care of the objective work.
How Dread Mob Wins the Attrition Game
Just look at the margins. King opened with a 100-35 win over Rayne Slavin’s Death Guard, then beat Nick Ludwig’s Dark Angels 100-53 and Thom Smith’s Death Guard 100-53.
Round 4 wasn’t much closer either, with King beating Parker Thomas’s Necrons 100-41. Then Sault’s Imperial Agents got closer than anybody else in the final round, and even that ended 100-73.
Overall, that’s a whopping +245 BP across five games.
Imperialis Fleet Imperial Agents Won the Close Games

Imperialis Fleet Roster Breakdown
Three squads of Imperial Navy Breachers make up the core, and each one has a leader attached. Inquisitor Draxus is the Warlord in one, a regular Inquisitor takes another, and the Rogue Trader Entourage with Fleetmaster handles the third. Then you’ve got two Inquisitor-led squads of Inquisitorial Agents, one with Digital Weapons and one with Clandestine Operation, giving Sault even more bodies to throw at scoring.
Then it gets weird, but in a good way. A Callidus and Vindicare Assassin sit alongside Inquisitor Kroyle and a Navigator with Combat Landers. Two squads of Battle Sisters ride in a pair of Immolators, two Chimeras move other troops around, and three squads of Subductors pile even more bodies onto the table.
There’s basically an answer tucked somewhere in this list for whatever comes up, which comes in handy when your games keep getting decided by single digits.
How Imperialis Fleet Wins the Close Games
Some of those games really did come down to single digits. Sault opened by slipping past Yusuf Saleh’s Space Wolves 89-83, and Saleh went on to finish fifth, so that wasn’t exactly a soft first-round matchup. After that came a 98-63 win over Brian Horton’s Tyranids and a 100-60 win over Gil Rivera’s Chaos Space Marines.
Round 4 was the real nail-biter, with Sault squeaking past Marshall Arthurs’s Necrons 88-85. That set up the final-round game against King, where the Orks took it 100-73.
Lions of the Emperor Custodes Blew Out Everything but Necrons

Lions of the Emperor Roster Breakdown
Eighteen Allarus Custodians are doing most of the work here, split into three units of six. That’s a huge chunk of the army walking around in golden Terminator armor. A Shield-Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike carries Admonimortis and leads three Vertus Praetors as the Warlord unit, while another unit of two Praetors brings even more speed.
An Inquisitor joins five Custodian Guard, which is a neat little Agents splash inside the Custodes army. Two units of Prosecutors and one unit of Witchseekers are the cheaper Sisters of Silence bodies doing all the jobs you really don’t want to waste a Custodian on.
How Lions of the Emperor Wins the Damage Race
Bigelow opened with a 99-45 win over Jonathan Baco’s Drukhari, then followed it with a 100-50 win over Corey Venezia’s Aeldari. Round 3 is where Marshall Arthurs’s Necrons showed up again and handed Bigelow his only loss of the weekend, 88-76.
That loss didn’t slow the Custodes down much. Bigelow beat Matthew Rowland’s Space Wolves 98-42, then closed out the weekend with a 98-36 win over Mico Colon’s Adepta Sororitas.

Final Thoughts on the 2026 Wars on the Shore GT Army Lists & the Warhammer 40k Meta
Twelve Killa Kans and three Dakkarigs going 5-0 with perfect scores is probably enough to put Dread Mob on the radar at the next few GTs at least.
You’ve got to figure Imperial players are going to bring a little more anti-armor next time around. Now we get to see whether Ork players just copy King’s walker count straight off BCP or somebody figures out how to cram even more Kans into 2,000 points.
