It’s raining new vampires, as all the new Soulblight Gravelords AoS rules from their battletome have been spotted already!
With the Soulblight Gravelords Battltome arriving this week, some players have gotten a copy early, meaning we all get to check out the new rules as well!
Let’s check out a handful of the coolest warscrolls we noticed. These were all spotted on Imgur. they also have most if not all of the rest of the warscrolls, if you would like to check them out as well.
All The New Soulblight Gravelords AoS Rules REVEALED
First up, Lauka Vai has some great things going on in their warscroll. First, for base stats they are pretty well off, 3+ save and 12″ move are great things to have on a big model. The Askurga Rapier is by far the best weapon needing 3s to hit and wound and landing for 2 damage a pop.
Lauka Vai also has some neat abilities like the generic mortal wounds on charge or reducing AP of all weapons of all enemies within 3″ of this model, which is huge since the enemies don’t even have to attack Lauka Vai to be affected.
Being able to heal each turn after killing a model is very nice and the ability to forgo command abilities from Lauka Vai for them to be able to run and charge is interesting.
Definitely potential to be a great model that can lead your forces into battle.
Everyone’s favorite Cursed City villain is also in the book. While he isn’t as much as a centerpiece as Lauka Vai, he does still offer lists a little bit. His Vyrkos Barrow-blade is pretty good with 4 attacks and a base of 3s to hit and wound.
He should average about 3-4 damage without buffs. Similar to Lauka Vai he can heal after he killed a model in a turn, and he also gets mortals on nat 6s to wound. Radukar can force Korsargi Night guard to look out sire for him on a 2+. Also he can cast spells and His command ability allows you to make a huge +1 attack bubble of 18″ which is very nice.
The bigger and badder version becomes much stronger. Other than buffs to movement and wounds, he also is a much bigger threat in melee. Now with a whopping 12 attacks all hitting and wounding on 3s, he’s got an average damage output of 9-10 damage each turn unbuffed. Being able to run and charge is a big deal when he has such a big focus on melee damage.
Once again he also heals after killing a model in a turn, which helps him grind out a few extra turns of value. He is also -1 to hit, making him a pretty pesky unit to deal with. He can auto mortal wound with his claws if you roll a nat 6 to hit, and he gains an additional command ability from his Wolf form gaining the option to add a unit of 10 Direwolves to the field once per game, which can come in clutch.
Blood knights are very durable at 3 wounds and a 3+ save. The Templar Lance or Blade is alright, but on the charge, it becomes 2 damage, which is clearly much better. They also have the unique ability to normal move over unmounted units in the movement phase and on a 2+ those units suffer D3 mortals.
These seem okay, but if you can reliably change or dish out mortals in a game these are going to be all-stars.
