Warhammer Summer Preview 2026: Every Reveal From Today’s Show

Big summer preview 2026 for warahmmer

The Warhammer Summer Preview just dumped a pile of reveals for 8 different game systems, from Codex: Orks to a plastic Telemon, a fresh Necromunda edition, and more.

GW brought a lot more heat than expected here. Eight game systems, eleven reveals, and a non-40k lineup that isn’t just getting shoved into a storage crate behind the 11th Edition launch wave. But don’t worry, there’s plenty for 40k as well.

Necromunda finally broke its silence after sitting quiet since New Year’s, Codex: Orks is rolling in as the first new codex of 11th edition, the Telemon Dreadnought is finally escaping resin-only Forge World duty, and the Old World gets a Warriors of Chaos Core Set that fans have been loudly asking for.

It’s also GW’s third major reveal show of 2026, after the New Year preview and AdeptiCon, and we’ll walk through all eleven reveals below in the order they hit the show.

Aeldari Exodites Land in Kill Team as the Plastic Debut Hobbyists Have Begged For

Updated on June 26, 2026, by Rob Baer with the new preview details

ARTICLE SUMMARY:
  • The three reveals that moved the preview needle: Codex: Orks teases in motion as the first 11th Edition codex, the Telemon Dreadnought finally goes plastic for Horus Heresy Custodes, and Necromunda gets a fresh edition with an Escher vs. Goliath Core Set.
  • Eight game systems, one show: GW’s not letting the rest of the catalog get buried under 11e‘s launch wave, and the breadth on display today is the proof.
  • What we’re watching next: Pre-order windows, full reveal art, and the individual deep-dives are rolling out today and through the weekend on the live blog.

Aeldari Exodites Kill Team Box

This one just woke up every dusty Eldar rumor thread that’s been lurking on forums for the last decade. The Exodites are finally getting their plastic debut as a hyper-elite Dragon Master operative team hunting a Beast Snagga incursion on their peaceful homeworld.

Plus, Kill Team has pulled this new model trick before, turning niche ideas into proper model ranges, and the Exodites have been the missing Aeldari flavor for ages.

The move to plastic tells you GW knows people actually want these weird dino-riding space elves. Whether this stays as a one-off Kill Team release or cracks the door for a full 40k line is the big question, and yeah, we’re leaning toward “probably.”

Necromunda’s New Edition Brings Escher and Goliath Back to the Underhive

Necromunda Starter Box

Necromunda went through the entire first half of 2026 without a major release, and now it’s coming back with a fresh edition, updated rules, and a Core Set that pits Escher and Goliath against each other.

The last big push was Hive Secundus, and the quiet stretch since then had players wondering if GW had misplaced the game somewhere between the sump and the warehouse, but apparently not.

Ogor Mawtribes Get a Fresh Army Set Stacked With Big Plastic

The Ogors are stomping back down from the mountains with the kind of release that makes AoS players suddenly “remember” they’ve always loved Mawtribes. The new Army Set brings Ironguts, Maulbeasts, and Gluttons, plus a new High Slaughtermaster GW is hyping as a “has to be seen to be believed” centerpiece.

World Eaters Get Their Own Hammer and Bolter Episode, and It Sounds Bloody

World Eaters ShowThis one is aimed squarely at World Eaters players and anyone who enjoys their Khorne lore with extra chainaxe noises. A standalone Hammer and Bolter episode follows the World Eaters fighting their hated enemies while wrestling with the lovely little brain party known as the Butcher’s Nails.

GW is teasing it as maybe the bloodiest episode yet, which is saying something for a series that hasn’t exactly been shy about violence.

Legions Imperialis Drops Three New Titan Kits and a Slate of Devastating Weapons

LI Summer Preview

Legions Imperialis players have been asking for more Titan toys since launch, and GW finally brought the god-engine buffet. Three new Titan kits and a slate of new firearms expand the Battle Group armory, which means more tiny-scale devastation and more reasons to make angry engine war noises at the table.

The Telemon Dreadnought Finally Hits Plastic for Horus Heresy Custodes

custodes support group horus heresy warhammer 40k

At long last, the biggest Dreadnought GW has ever made is going plastic. The Telemon has been the centerpiece of Custodes 30k armies for years, but it spent that time as a $200+ Forge World resin kit, which kept plenty of hobbyists admiring it from a safe, wallet-friendly distance.

Plus, the Gryfalcon and grav-attack skirmishers are getting fresh updates alongside it too, so the big golden stompy lad isn’t carrying the whole release by himself.

Blood Bowl Sevens Returns With Big Guys Brawling on a Smaller Pitch

Blood Bowl PReview

Blood Bowl Sevens is back, and the smaller-pitch format remains perfect for league nights where nobody has the stamina, time, or emotional resilience for full eleven-a-side. Some Big Guys are throwing their weight around in the new wave, which sounds like Death Zone-style mayhem is getting a proper refresh.

Sevens has always been one of the best ways to turn casual coaches into roster-tinkerers, so this feels like a smart onramp for any local Blood Bowl scene trying to get more games rolling.

Old World’s Next Core Set Pits Warriors of Chaos Against Grand Cathay

Warhammer Old World core set 2026

The Old World crowd has been openly campaigning for Warriors of Chaos to headline a new release, and this Core Set gives them exactly that. Grand Cathay is defending its lands against heavily armed and armored Chaos Warriors, while the followers of the Dark Gods are bringing a new Chaos Dragon to make the whole thing appropriately dramatic.

Warhammer Academy Wants to Help You Bring New Players Into the Hobby

Warhammer AcademyWarhammer Academy is probably the part that established hobbyists will skim past while hunting for sprue pics, but it’s more useful than it sounds. GW’s positioned it as a starting point for new players and a refresher for folks who know just enough Warhammer lore and rules to be dangerous.

Codex: Orks Charges In as the First 11th Edition Codex of the Year

ork codex warhammer 40k 11th editionThis is the big headline for 40k players. Codex: Orks is the first new Codex of the 11th Edition, and it’s not rolling in alone. More updated Ork miniatures are on the waytoo, including the iconic Trukk getting a refresh that every greenskin player’s been waiting for.

Ready Painted Terrain and New Starter Sets Round Out the 40k 11th Edition Onramp

Warhammer Starter Set 11th Edition boxes40k Ready Painted plastic terrain is GW tackling one of the most obvious pain points in the hobby: getting a good-looking battlefield on the table without spending three weekends drybrushing ruins until your soul leaves your body.

Plus, 3 new Starter Sets and faction-specific intro boxes round out the new path into 11th edition as well.

Final Thoughts on the Warhammer Summer Preview

The Big Summer Warhammer Preview 2026 feature image

We’ll have to see the order GW drops all of this, but the reveal show followed up strongly on the last two previews as well. GW has now run three major reveal events in 2026, and that pace says as much about the 11th Edition runway as any single reveal.

Fortunately, the non-40k catalog isn’t getting buried either. Next up, we’re watching how quickly the individual pre-orders hit Warhammer Community, whether GW gives the Necromunda edition a proper release window before Q4, and which of these eleven reveals has sneaky rules buried in them, too.
