Rob has also won many Warhammer 40k Tournaments over the years, including multiple first-place finishes in Warhammer 40k Grand Tournaments and even winning 1st place at the 2011 Adepticon 40k Team Tournament. He was even featured for his painting in issue #304 of Games Workshop’s White Dwarf Magazine.
With over 30 years of experience in retail and distribution, Rob knows all the products and exactly which ones are the best. It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and models made of both pewter and resin.

Read MoreToday we have another guest post by TPM, that addresses what to do now with the rumored legalization of Imperial Armor units in 6th! From TPM A buddy of mine asked me what list I would build for a tournament that allowed these units and below is what I came up with. I am pretty disappointed […]
Read MoreToday I took another crack at converting one of the hottest bits on the market today; the Combi-Melta gun. Here at Spikey Bits, we still cant seem to keep this particular bit in stock, and routinely cut down whole commander kits at a time, just for this one component. It’s pretty bad when I don’t […]
Read MoreWell it appears I may have impressed some folks with a few Work in Progress shots I put up last night on Facebook.I like posting quick pictures to Facebook using my phone, cause it’s easy to make a small catalog of what I’m working on without stopping every five seconds and setting up photo equipment etc. So […]
Read MoreI’ve been studying this picture for a few days now, and can’t seem to place any of the components.Either this is a whole new kit, or more amazing scratch builds like the “New Plastic Chaos Terminators” thread from last week. Let’s take a closer look. Here’s another potential gem in the hard to see picture from the […]
Read MoreTop Level player Paul Murphy (TPM) shares with us today his first Blood Angels list for 6th Edition.TPM sat at the top of the Rankings HQ’s chart for 40k Players in America for quite awhile. Read MoreWell this may be a big wild goose chase, BUT take a look at this… It’s been awhile since Games Workshop put out a Chaos Dreadnought. Heck Games Workshop didn’t even bother remaking the old one into Finecast yet. So whats a Warmaster gotta to do to get some armored walker lovings around here (besides get one […]
Read MoreBrother Chaplain Ginn called me late last night asking if I had seen the new Chaos Terminators…Of course I replied no, where are they? He told me somewhere in the new sixth rulebook and sent me a cellphone pic of a screenshot off the net. Immediately I dashed to the office to grab my rulebook and find that exact […]
Read MoreMr Wizard was nice enough to type up a little summary of some of the changes to the game from 5th to 6th. While this is by no means a comprehensive list or even 100% correct it’s still a very helpful aid to learning and comprehending 6th Edition. To me reading the book once, is pretty […]
Read MoreThe book we have all waiting for is now HERE.Sixth Edition 40k released over the weekend, and there was much rejoicing. Overall, to me at least, the game seems to be pretty streamlined now. It feels to be more like Fourth Edition, except with many more clarifications in place that gives it a more fluid […]

Read MoreWaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar! Part Deamon, part Dreadnought, all attitude.Today I’m unboxing the Forge World Chaos Decimator Engine, and you would not believe just how far down the rabbit hole the styling on this one goes. While this kit does not have a book yet, it still has a set of pretty sweet experimental rules from Forge World (posted on the item page). The model itself […]
Read MoreHey guys. I have an article today from From the Warp (FTW) by Ron Saikowski. This is a great article on doing furs, and that really makes it easy than hand sculpting every line etc. Alternatively as Ron notes, Micro Art Studio does make fur pelt molds as well.Another thing you may want to try after […]
