Warhammer Miniature of the Month For July Has a Catch

Free Warhammer miniature of the month May 2026 Leagues of Votann Yaegir

Warhammer Miniature of the Month for July brings a free Fellgor Beastman to stores, but the Old Foes coin has a few hoops for you to jump through now.

July’s free mini is simple enough: show up, ask nicely, and grab a shaggy little chaos beast while supplies last. The Old Foes coin, though? Let’s hope you spent nearly $300 in June. That’s because you’ll need last month’s token and a Siege of Death Mire campaign result before the store hands it over, which makes this feel a lot less like a freebie and a lot more like a pop quiz.

June’s coin was already locked behind the $290 Armageddon box, and July keeps that paywall standing and adds another lock. There is good news, however, because anyone who shows up on Saturday, July 11, can still walk out with the Fellgor Ravager Beastman without doing any extra work. So Beasts of Chaos fans and Kill Team regulars at least get a solid win with the model.

The coin is where things get tough, with Warhammer 40k 11th Edition‘s Siege of Death Mire campaign part of the ask now…

The Free Fellgor Lands on Saturday, July 11

Updated on June 29th, 2026, by Rob Baer with the latest Free Miniature of the Month.

ARTICLE SUMMARY:
  • The free July mini is a Fellgor Beastman: it comes from the Fellgor Ravagers kill team and arrives in Warhammer stores from July 11 while stocks last.
  • The Old Foes coin needs June’s Armageddon token AND a Siege of Death Mire result: GW is gating this month’s coin behind two prerequisites for the second month in a row.
  • Pick ‘n’ Mix paints and the Bring-a-Friend perk stack alongside the mini: the July store trip has more going on than just grabbing one free model.

July’s headline mini isn’t a new sculpt; it’s the same Fellgor Ravager that held the Mini of the Month slot back in January 2024, returning for another round. Same shaggy Beastman, complete with wicked blade and rough firearm setup, etc.

The model is free at participating Warhammer stores from Saturday, July 11, while stocks last, and the miniature you receive may differ from the one pictured. It’s one miniature per person, and if you’re in Australia, Europe, New Zealand, or the UK, you’ll assemble it at the counter with staff helping out.

Either way, it’s a free Beastman. There are worse reasons to wander into a Warhammer store, right?

Pick ‘n’ Mix Paints Stack on the Same Trip

Citadel Pick n Mix paints in-store offer 10 paints

GW is also running the in-store Pick ‘n’ Mix paint deal alongside the Mini of the Month, which is a nice little value for players grabbing a bunch of paints. Buy any 10 Citadel paints in-store, and the most expensive pot in the batch is free.

Fortunetly, Beastmen can wear just about any palette the Chaos Gods will tolerate. Dark, muddy, and savage fits the classic Beasts of Chaos look, but a bestial warband can just as easily be daubed up in whatever colors match the Fellgor Ravagers kill team, patron of the week.

The Old Foes Coin Needs Two Prerequisites

The catch we’ve been talking about is all about this Old Foes coin. The coin and its matching display card go live on July 11, the same day as the mini, (while stocks last of course).

To claim the pair, you’ll need to bring two things back to the store. First is June’s Armageddon coin, which GW already tied to the purchase of the $290 Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon box.

Second, you’ll need to have submitted a result to the Siege of Death Mire global campaign.

Missed June’s gated coin? July’s coin is out, too. Bought the Armageddon box but haven’t logged a Death Mire result yet? Well, you’ve got eleven days to fix that before the launch window opens.

The mini doesn’t need any of this though, the coin promo is where GW wants proof you’ve been playing along the whole time.

Bring a Friend, Stack the Freebies

Since you’re already heading to the counter for the mini, the Bring-a-Friend program can also help you get your friends into the hobby. Your new hobbyist guest will get their choice of a free Space Marine or Stormcast Eternals Liberator, plus a painting tutorial for the model and a learn-to-play session for either 40k or AoS.

That’s three free items or activities on deck for just showing up with someone who hasn’t already been pulled into the hobby. So, if you’ve got a friend who has been thiking about the hobby since 11th Edition landed, that’s a pretty solid first-session pitch without asking them to buy in on day one.

Final Thoughts on the Warhammer Miniature of the Month

Warhammer Miniature of the Month July Fellgor Beastman feature shot

The free Fellgor on July 11 is the easy part of this month’s Warhammer store promo. Show up, grab the Beastman while supplies last, maybe snag some paints, and you’re off to the races.

The new coin “promo chain” appears to be where GW is testing the waters. June was buy-a-box-to-unlock, and now July is bring-back-your-coin-and-prove-you-played.

So honeslty that means August’s coin promo is the one to watch out for. If the prerequisites keep stacking up, this will look more like a punch card than promo.

The crowd already annoyed by GW’s gating of its freebies will have plenty more to chew on by then too, but the store traffic GW gets from this giveaway overall is probably all that matters most on their end.
