GW has just added 10 rulebooks from the Charadon Campaign to Octarius, and even the Crusade supplements to the last chance to buy list.
Considering these have only been around for a little while and still have playable rules, it seems like a strange move to retire all of these all of a sudden. They seem so short-lived, compared to how long the Psychic Awakening books stayed around, just doesn’t make a ton of sense.
So, if you want any of the books, now is probably the time to grab them as they won’t stay around long on the last chance to buy list. So if you want to grab them, you can here. Let’s check it out.
GW Retiring Charadon Campaign Books & Crusade Books
We might understand some of the original Charadon books, but War Zone Octarius has only been out for about four months (at the time of writing this). They put so much into promoting these and really built them up as a great way to supplement your games. And now, well, it looks like GW has had enough of them!
We also wonder whether they will keep the rules from the books in matched play or not as well, as it would suck to have built an army around one of them and then have it just go away.
It’s even curious that have even released FAQs and such for the books, so just doesn’t make much sense when they then take them away so soon. We’re not sure if this means they will be going in a whole new direction with campaign and crusade books, or if they are just sort of scrapping the idea altogether.
One other interesting thing to note, they are getting rid of the Chaos Datacards. So, while we know a new book is on the horizon, it might be sooner than we thought!
