The Horus Heresy heats up with new Siege Assault and Skitarii Battle Groups, bringing both Space Marine and Mechanicum power to 30k.
Horus Heresy fans just got a double payload of plastic glory, and it’s all about two things: brutal sieges and even more brutal Mechanicum augmentation. Games Workshop is bringing back some classic units with shiny new multi-part kits, bundled in boxes that will test your willpower and your wallet.
Check out all the new bundle boxes and single kit releases on the way for the Horus Heresy.
Cataphractii Terminators Get a Modern Tune-Up

These suits aren’t exactly built for speed, but they’re unmatched in durability. During the Heresy, no Legion could afford to be picky about gear, so these slow-moving fortresses saw plenty of action, even when the faster Tartaros suits were available.
Two Kits, Double the Carnage
GW didn’t stop at one kit; there are two new Cataphractii boxes coming. One’s loaded with volkite chargers and power mauls for maximum zap-and-bash potential, while the other packs combi-bolters and power fists for a more traditional punch-through-wall experience.
Each kit builds six Terminators, and since squads can go up to 12 models, it’s easy to max out with two boxes.
Breacher Squads Storm Back into Action

Painted in Iron Warriors colors, each unit combines the chunky MkIII power armor bodies with a new Breacher upgrade frame, including shields, weapons, and heads that fit seamlessly with other kits. That means you can mix parts with MkII or MkVI Marines for custom Legion looks from any era of the Heresy.
Siege Assault Battle Group: The Ultimate Boarding Party
If you want it all in one go, the new Siege Assault Battle Group brings the full package:
- Six Cataphractii Terminators with volkite chargers and power mauls
- Six Cataphractii with combi-bolters and power fists
- Ten Breachers with their wall-sized shields
- And a Leviathan Dreadnought rocking both a siege claw and siege drill
That’s enough to chew through fortress walls and make even an Imperial Fist nervous. The box also includes transfer sheets for detailed Legion markings before you slap on all the mud and scorch marks your weathering skills can handle.
And yes, some of these models are only available in this bundle for now. Because if Games Workshop loves anything more than resin nostalgia, it’s a good old-fashioned paywall.
Mechanicum Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms March to War

These soldiers serve the Fabricator General directly, or at least, they did until the Heresy split Mars in two. With rival Fabricator-Generals taking sides, Skitarii conclaves ended up fighting each other across the galaxy.
Flesh is Weak, Plastic is Strong

They hit the battlefield as light infantry units of 8–16 models, armed with voltlock arquebuses that spew close-range firepower strong enough to melt armor plating.
Leading them is the Battle-Pilgrym Marshal, a veteran commander swinging relic weapons like the auctorit sceptre, a walking reminder that in the Mechanicum, authority literally comes with electricity.
The Vultarax Stratos-Automata Returns in Plastic
Mechanicum armies are getting another fan-favorite back from the resin graveyard. The Vultarax Stratos-automata, a flying death machine with missile pods and arc blasters, has been reimagined in plastic. This automaton’s job is to scout for relics and blast apart anyone who gets in the way, which makes it basically a flying to-do list with guns.
You’ll first find it inside the Skitarii Battle Group box, which is a perfect way to pick up all these new models. It contains the following:
- 16 Battle-Pilgryms
- a Marshal
- Vultarax Stratos-automata
- transfer sheet packed with nearly 400 Mechanicum decals.
Skitarii Get Their Own Army List in “Journal Tactica: The Steel Hand of Mars”

The best part? They dodge the usual 50% points restriction on allies when used with Mechanicum Taghmata, meaning you can go full red-robed machine cult without compromise.
Final Thoughts From Us on New Horus Heresy Models

If you want those Breachers or Skitarii now, your options are “buy the bundle” or “wait and hope.”
So grab your wallet, pick your side, Legions Astartes or Mechanicum, and prepare for another round of “I swear I’ll only buy one more box.”
