All the new Warhammer reveals from the World Championships 2025 are here. From Captain Titus and Cathay to Nurgle’s new horrors, here’s everything shown off live in Atlanta.
The Regency Ballroom in Atlanta was packed, and Games Workshop rolled out the red carpet for some major reveals. From Warhammer 40k to the Mortal Realms and beyond, this preview was stacked.
Let’s break down all the reveals from the 2025 World Championships of Warhammer Preview: new models, new stories, and plenty of wallet-endangering plastic glory.
All the Massive New Warhammer Reveals From WCW Preview
Warhammer Quest’s been stirring up the rumor mill lately (from GW and the community), and now it’s fully revealed.
The good news? It’s not just Quest taking the spotlight at the Warhammer World Championships Preview; we got new reveals for 40k, The Old World, Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, and more.
So let’s talk about which of these big hitters stole the show.
Five New Warhammer 40k Xenos Heroes are Crashing the Party
The spotlight hit the 41st Millennium with Champions of the 41st Millennium, bringing fresh heroes for the Leagues of Votann, T’au Empire, Necrons, and Tyranids.
A Cthonian headhunter joins the Votann ranks, the T’au get not one but two ace battlesuit commanders, Necrons get the Nightbringer, and a new baddie, plus a monstrous new Tyranid leader-beast steps up to the biomass buffet.
Captain Titus Returns With the 500 Worlds Campaign
Ultramar’s most meme-worthy hero, Captain Titus, is back, and he’s looking more heroic than ever. The 500 Worlds of Ultramar are under threat from Nekrosor Ammentar, a terrifying Necron destroyer whose “destroyer virus” has silenced entire systems. Guilliman’s decree: retake everything. Titus’ response: “For the Emperor!”
Don’t miss these new miniatures, new 40k rules for Titus, and more cinematic-level drama for Titus that’d make even a Necron twitch.
Warhammer Quest: Darkwater
The Mortal Realms got a grim new dungeon crawler in Warhammer Quest: Darkwater, where a band of mismatched heroes descends into the festering Jade Abbey to stop Nurgle’s disciples from poisoning the Everspring.
It’s cooperative, creepy, and packed with the kind of detail that makes you start clearing table space before preorders even drop.
New Maggotkin of Nurgle Rides in on a Temu Toad Dragon
The Maggotkin of Nurgle are back in force, spreading rot and joy with new miniatures and a revamped Battletome. Fan-favorite Festus the Leechlord makes his return, ready to sling potions and plague alike. Expect new Path to Glory content too, because nothing says “campaign fun” like slowly decaying in style.
More New Old World Grand Cathay Releases Revealed by GW
The armies of Grand Cathay step up again to defend the Great Bastion. New kits like the Crane Gunners and Peasant Levy reinforce the ranks, backed by an Arcane Journal chronicling the latest Chaos siege.
The Celestial Dragon Emperor’s followers aren’t backing down, and this new wave cements Cathay as one of the most striking armies in Warhammer: The Old World.
GW Reveals 2 New Battlegroups For Horus Heresy
For Heresy fans, Cataphractii Terminators and MkIII Breacher Squads are getting gorgeous new models. A new Battle Group box bundles the heavy hitters, making it easier to start smashing Traitors or Loyalists depending on your preferred flavor of grimdark betrayal.
The Adeptus Mechanicus also get their time in the Age of Darkness with the Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms. These cybernetic zealots hit the Heresy era with new models, a returning classic flying automata, and their own Journal Tactica.
They are also getting a new Battlegroup box.
Legions Imperialis: Super-Heavies, Titans, and More
Things are scaling down in size but cranking up the firepower. Legions Imperialis gets new super-heavy tanks, including the brand-new Ascalon, plus Saturnine Terminators, Dreadnoughts, and Araknae Platforms.
Two new Combined Arms Battle Group boxes for the Astartes and Solar Auxilia round out the release, giving Epic fans plenty to paint and plenty to argue about.
The Horus Heresy Saga – 12 Books, One Legendary War
Fans of the lore get something special: The Horus Heresy Saga, a curated collection of twelve defining novels from the 50+ book series, each with slick new cover art. It’s a perfect entry point for anyone who wants to relive the fall of the Imperium, one Primarch meltdown at a time.
Necromunda’s New Ruler: Ozostium Aranthus
The underhive has a new master, and it’s not one you’ll want to cross. Ozostium Aranthus, an ancient being from before the Imperium’s birth, has seized control of Necromunda with charisma and psychic power to spare.
The Aranthian Succession story concludes with this surreal twist, and judging by the preview, we’re in for models that’ll look right at home in any creepy underhive cult.
