The Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40k Warbond lands August 12 with three iconic weapons, two Imperial Guard armor sets, and a pile of grimdark cosmetics.
Arrowhead has finally revealed everything inside Castellan’s Creed, the new Legendary Warbond. After a month of themed missions and countdown hype, the gear looks surprisingly faithful to 40k, which isn’t something licensed crossovers always manage.
The price is where things can get a little awkward. Castellan’s Creed is expected to cost 1,500 Super Credits, roughly twice a standard Premium Warbond, and it arrives after players spent the spring hammering Helldivers 2 over monetization.
But the good news is that the equipment looks good, and players will just have to decide whether it’s worth hobby-brand money. This isn’t the first time 40k has crossed into a video game, and it isn’t much like the Helldivers 2 board game, but it may be one of the best-looking crossovers yet.
What’s Actually in Castellan’s Creed
- What it is: Castellan’s Creed looks like one of the rare licensed crossovers that understands the source material, right down to the yellow Hot-Shot bolts and Bolt Pistol audio.
- What’s included: four faithful weapons, two Kasrkin armor sets with a support-weapon reload passive, and a wall of Imperial Guard cosmetics, all confirmed for August 12.
- What it can mean: at 1,500 Super Credits, this becomes the crossover every future collaboration gets measured against, assuming the weapons play as well as they look.
Overall, just four pieces of equipment carry the Warbond. The R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle is a precision primary that fires the yellow energy bolts Guard players will recognize immediately, and it’s designed to work at both close and long range.

Kasrkin Over Space Marines, and We’re Glad They Held the Line

Kasrkin fit much better, as Cadian shock troopers and Helldivers are both regular humans given better equipment and fed into an authoritarian war machine. 1,500 Super Credits is a Lot to Ask a Player Base

The game has recovered to Mostly Positive at 82% all-time, but players haven’t forgotten why they were angry. They’re going to compare the marksman rifle, Bolt Pistol, Meltagun, mine, and two Imperial Guard armor sets against the 1,500 Super Credit price, just as hobbyists have to compare every 40k product against its price tag.
Fortunately, Warbonds remain available permanently, and Super Credits can be farmed slowly for free, so there’s no need to buy it immediately. That being said, however, a premium price still requires premium gear once players start testing it.
Final Thoughts on the Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40k Warbond

So, if the Bolt Pistol hits hard and the Meltagun can handle its intended targets, this could become the standard future collaborations have to match for both brands. Still, 1,500 Super Credits is a serious asking price, and the gear needs to perform as well as it looks when the Warbond launches on August 12.
