Dan Bruce’s 6-0 Space Wolves took the Chimera Gaming GT army lists crown with a Terminator brick that never lost a game.

Dan Bruce won the 73-player Chimera Gaming GT by planting Logan Grimnar, Bjorn the Fell-Handed, Arjac Rockfist, and a wall of Wolf Guard Terminators in the middle of the table.

Six rounds later, nobody had managed to deal with them, and Dan finished undefeated with the highest battle point total at the event, leading the top Warhammer 40k army lists from the weekend.

Ridvan Martinez also went 6-0 with Drukhari, leaving battle points to decide first and second. Finally, the podium was rounded out by Thomas Faulkner’s Aeldari Wraith army, giving the event three very different top builds.

If you saw the last Chimera Gaming event, you know these aren’t easy games, which makes two undefeated finishes even more impressive.

Dan Bruce’s Saga of the Great Wolf Space Wolves Won Every Single Game

Dan brought a slow army built to take the middle and just stay there. With several characters leading Wolf Guard Terminators, opponents had to fight through a lot of durable models before they could score comfortably.

The Saga of the Great Wolf detachment was the perfect build for these units letting them hold ground, complete Saga objectives, and grind through anything that comes close.

Saga of the Great Wolf Roster Breakdown

Logan Grimnar, Bjorn the Fell-Handed, Arjac Rockfist, a Captain in Terminator Armor, and a Lieutenant with a combi-weapon lead the army. Most are attached to three large Wolf Guard Terminator units, creating several leader-and-bodyguard blocks that hit hard and take plenty of effort to remove.

Meanwhile infiltrators protect the home objective and screen deep strikes. A Land Raider Redeemer gives the army some movement when it needs to cross the board, while Fierce Example improves one of the Terminator units.

How Saga of the Great Wolf Wins the Attrition War

Dan won all six games and scored below 96 battle points only once. He ended up finishing with 100 points in the final round and 573 overall, the highest total in the field.

Faster armies couldn’t remove the Terminators efficiently enough to take control of the objectives, and once the game became a long fight over the middle, the Space Wolves had the advantage.

Plenty of the World Championships lists rely on speed, but Dan’s army won by making the center of the table too expensive to contest.

Ridvan Martinez’s Skysplinter Assault Drukhari Went Undefeated Too

Ridvan’s Drukhari took the opposite approach, and his army used transports, fast units, and several small threats to attack across the board. The army is fast but fragile, so it depends on choosing the right fights and avoiding big losses.

It also finished 6-0, taking second place on battle points.

Skysplinter Assault Roster Breakdown

Lady Malys, Drazhar, an Archon, and a Succubus lead units including Incubi, Kabalite Warriors, and Wyches.

Three Venoms and a Raider move those units into position. Two Ravagers and three Scourge units provide most of the shooting, while a Cronos, Mandrakes, and Reavers handle support and objectives.

How Skysplinter Assault Wins the Movement Phase

Ridvan’s scores stayed consistent through six rounds. He didn’t match Dan’s battle point total, but nobody managed to beat him either.

Overall, the Skysplinter Assault works by reaching objectives, removing key units, and moving away before the opponent can respond. A similar approach succeeded at the Spring 2026 Prague GT, and Ridvan’s finish shows the army still has plenty of speed and hitting power in 11th edition.

Thomas Faulkner’s Spirit Conclave Aeldari Refused to Die

Thomas Faulkner skipped the usual fast Aeldari approach and built around durable Wraith units instead. The army won five straight games before losing in the final round, finishing third.

Spirit Conclave Roster Breakdown

Three Wraithlords lead the army, backed by two units of Wraithblades and two units of Wraithguard.

Then an Autarch Wayleaper and two Spiritseers were there to support the Wraith units. Three Warlock Conclaves and three Warlock Skyrunner units add psychic support and mobility, while two Fire Prisms provide ranged firepower.

Finally, Rangers and Shroud Runners were handling objectives, and the Rune of Mists enhancement makes one key unit harder to remove with shooting.

How Spirit Conclave Wins the Long Game

The army’s durability carried Thomas to a 5-1 finish which had a lot to do with opponents having to spend several turns dealing with Wraithlords and Wraithblades before they could take control of the board.

That gave the Aeldari time to keep scoring and pushed games into the later turns, where the surviving Wraith units became even harder to manage. A third-place finish with such a slow, durable army also showed that speed wasn’t the only path to success at this event, even if it was Aeldari!

Final Thoughts on the Chimera Gaming GT Army Lists & the Warhammer 40k Meta

table tournament warhammer 40k players engaged

The Chimera Gaming GT podium was pretty varied, including a Space Wolves melee brick, a fast Drukhari transport army, and a durable Aeldari Wraith force.

Dan’s Space Wolves came out on top by controlling the middle of the table and forcing every opponent into a fight they couldn’t win efficiently.

We’ll see whether similar builds keep appearing or whether the latest balance dataslate changes the army builds up again headed into August. For this weekend, though, 573 battle points and a pile of Terminators were enough to win the whole thing!
