Kromlech Miniatures Has Been Sold, New Owner Takes Over Soon

kromlech gets sold

Kromlech Miniatures has been sold, but the longtime hobby brand is preparing for its next chapter under new ownership.

Eliza, who’s been keeping the company going since founder Artur Sęk passed away in 2022, posted a farewell confirming they’re stepping away as Kromlech has been sold.

The good news? Kromlech isn’t going away. The catch is that we don’t know who bought it, production is getting packed up and moved, and nobody’s given us a reopening date. So if you need those miniatures or bits for your next army project, you’ve got until Sunday to order them direct.

ARTICLE SUMMARY:
  • Kromlech sale: The company has a new owner, but the announcement doesn’t name the buyer or say what the deal covers.
  • October 25 order deadline: The current Kromlech webstore takes orders through Sunday, October 25, 2026, then shuts off for the transition.
  • Production move: Casting gets relocated and reorganized under the new owner, with no reopening date announced.

Sunday Is Last Call on the Current Kromlech Store

Kromlech changes hands

Here’s the most important date if you want to buy something; Eliza says the current webstore will keep taking orders through October 25, and then it’s going offline while the new owner gets everything sorted out. So if you’ve been eyeing some resin kits, MDF terrain, or those Orky bits, don’t wait around.

But what happens to orders in the system and vendors? That’s all still a little unclear. There’s no word on whether retailers and distributors will keep selling existing stock during the transition, or whether orders placed before the deadline will ship on the usual schedule.

If there’s a kit you absolutely want for your next build, that’s worth keeping in mind. You can wait for the new store, sure, but right now nobody knows when that’ll be an option.

Somebody Bought Kromlech, and We Don’t Know Who

So, who actually bought Kromlech? Good question, because the announcement doesn’t say.

According to Eliza, the brand and its existing products are heading to a new home. That’s pretty much all we’ve got to work with. Could it be another tabletop company? An individual investor? Somebody setting up a whole new operation? Any of those could be the case, but nothing’s been confirmed.

We also don’t know exactly what came with the sale. Was it the entire business, the IP, the casting equipment, the inventory, or some combination of those?

That’s a pretty big detail to leave hanging, becasue in this hobby, there’s a difference between an experienced miniature company taking over production and a new owner figuring out resin casting as they go. Until we know who’s involved and what they bought, it’s hard to say what Kromlech will look like on the other side.

Moving a Miniatures Studio Can Cause Big Delays

Here’s the part that could really affect anyone waiting on new kits. Eliza says production is being moved and reorganized. And if you’ve ever thought about what goes into making resin miniatures and MDF terrain, you can probably see the headache coming. We’re talking molds, machines, materials, inventory, and all the other stuff that needs to get from one setup to another.

Even a well-planned move can slow things down. Production capacity could take a hit, orders could take longer to fill, and some kits might get back into production before others. None of that’s confirmed to be happening, but it’s worth watching.

Eliza describes the changeover as a short transition period, which sounds encouraging. But how short is short? A couple of weeks? Longer? We’re sure the new owner will be ready to update people soon, because you don’t buy a business and then just go silent.

Kromlech Survives, But Will It Still Feel Like Kromlech?

There’s some good news in all of this. The announcement says the Kromlech brand, its products, and the ranges hobbyists already know are continuing under the new owner. So we’re talking about a handoff, not Kromlech closing up for good.

But will everything stay the same? That’s a whole different question.

Maybe the new owner keeps the full catalog going. Maybe some ranges get trimmed, or new designs start showing up. Prices, materials, casting quality, and distribution could all change too. To be clear, nobody’s announced any of that. They’re just things we’ll want to keep an eye on once the new owner starts talking.

And what about the people actually making the miniatures? The statement doesn’t mention what’s happening with the sculptors, designers, or production staff behind ranges like the Imperial Crusaders and alternative DKoK Guard.

That’s a big part of what makes a miniature company feel familiar. If the same crew sticks around, there’s a better chance future releases will have that Kromlech look and feel. If the team changes, the designs might start heading in a different direction.

Final Thoughts on the Sale of Kromlech Miniatures

We’ve seen plenty of third-party hobby companies close their doors, including Acid House Terrain and Secret Weapon Miniatures. So seeing Kromlech get sold instead of shut down is definitely better news for hobbyists.

Who knows? A new owner could mean more money going into the business, smoother production, and more room for Kromlech to grow.

But first, we’d really like to know who’s taking over. Once that name comes out, there are three things we want answered: when can we order again, which miniature ranges are coming along, and are the people behind those familiar Kromlech kits sticking around?

And yeah, we’re curious about Eliza’s next move too becasue that whole new-map comment has us wondering what they’re planning as well…
