The Star Wars Legion Luke Skywalker Commander Expansion is a limited release for stores, and it’s already going for stupid money on eBay.
There have been some listings over on eBay guessing at the supply as demand, and the listings look nuts! Before we dive into that let’s go over the model one more time in case you missed it.
We did a short preview of how the release is going to happen, but Fantasy Flight Games released a full preview recently too! Who doesn’t want to field Luke Skywalker in their games?
Just the box is giving us some serious nostalgia! If you have been looking for a mini to set your collection apart this could be it.
This figure really puts the old one to shame a bit, not so much better you won’t be able to use the old one. But limited edition minis should always be cooler!
Not a ton of the figures for the game come with extra options, so it’s always good to see some extra options. They didn’t really say quite how many in total will be released. We do know though, that each store will be getting up to 3 apiece.
Limited SW Legion Luke Skywalker Going For Stupid Money…
The top listings are hovering around $80 USD and some even higher, which may seem crazy at first, but you gotta remember a few things. This is a store exclusive, meaning if you want one you have to get it at an LGS. Which introduces a whole new can of worms… Will your LGS order the 3 that each store is limited to? Is the store even open right now due to the pandemic? Are you willing to go out to your store even if they met the other two conditions and haven’t sold out yet?
There’s a ton of factors up in the air with this limited release. It’s usually hard enough to get your hands on them, but with these extra factors it may be harder than usual and the eBay prices reflect that right now. Normally a character expansion goes for around $13-$15 for Legion.
What do you think about the new Luke Model? Are you going to try to get one? Would you buy it on teh secondary market if you had to?
