GW announced two new Chaos Space Marines Battleforces, and their 10th Edition codex book will be available for pre-order next week!
This week only has a few releases, but for those who want to expand their Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marines collection, it’s still a good one!
New Chaos Battleforces & Codex Pre-Orders Revealed
New Warhammer 40k releases were announced for pre-order, including the two Chaos Space Marines Battleforces with lord models, 10th Edtion Codex, and accessories. Here is the product lineup that will be available to pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST in the States.
Codex: Chaos Space Marines
The new Codex for Chaos Space Marine Legions provides all the necessary information to update CSM armies to 10th edition Warhammer 40,000. The 160-page book offers eight detachments and 48 datasheets, Crusade rules, Combat Patrol rules for Zarkan’s Daemonkin, and a showcase of beautifully painted miniatures.
As usual, a limited Collectors Edition also features golden page edging, a ribbon bookmark, and unique cover art.
Veterans of the Long War
The Veterans of the Long War Battleforce box contains the new Chaos Lord on Foot miniature with various head and weapon options. In addition, the box includes five Possessed, five Chosen, 10 Chaos Terminators, and 10 Chaos Space Marines, along with five Chaos Space Marine transfer sheets comprising 364 decals.

Dread Talons
The Dread Talons battleforce box includes the new Chaos Lord with Jump Pack miniature, a Daemon Prince, five Dark Commune, eight Accursed Cultists, 10 Chaos Cultists, 10 Chaos Space Marine Raptors that can also be built as Warp Talons, and it also comes with five Chaos Space Marine transfer sheets.

Combat Patrol: Chaos Space Marines
The new Chaos Space Marine Combat Patrol includes 26 miniatures. It has 10 Cultists, 10 Chaos Space Marines, five Possessed, and a Master of Possession to lead them into combat. The new Codex also contains full rules for using them in games of Combat Patrol, while for larger games of Warhammer 40k, these models are a force of around 460 points.
Chaos Cultist Firebrand
Even the lowliest rabble of Chaos Cultists needs someone to lead and roast their enemies, and the Cultist Firebrand is the man with the plan. His balefire pike produces D6+3 S5 automatic hits, while his Fiery Faith allows an attached unit of Cultists to reroll Leadership tests. This is the first time this miniature has been available separately.
Chaos Space Marines Accessories
Chaos players can also get Datasheet Cards that include 48 cards for regular games, four for Combat Patrol, and an Army Rules card. The dice set includes 16 six-sided dice in red color with black details and the eight-pointed star of Chaos engraved on the six face.
