HeresyLab’s Warhammer STL files pack 600+ pre-supported bits into a $20 Kickstarter and gives you a full bits box in one purchase.
Everybody’s got at least one conversion sitting around because some annoyingly specific part doesn’t exist. If yours is a Templar or Salamander, HeresyLab’s new Kickstarter is built around fixing that problem. The project has 600+ STL files covering weapons, arms, heads, shields, and all the little bits that usually send you digging through old sprues.
The Miniature Bitz Selection 1.0 is split between the Crusaders and Dragons ranges, with 804 bits altogether by HeresyLab’s count. It’s nice because if you’ve been buying third-party bits one piece at a time, this gives you all the parts at once.
Most of the campaign is downloadable too, as HeresyLab has been heading this direction since they went digital back in 2020. The STL files are scheduled for September; resin follows in October, and you won’t have to sign up for 18 months of checking a pledge manager to see if anything has moved (or shipped).

The €29 Major STL early bird is probably what most people will grab. You get the Templar Saga bundle, the Elite Set, every stretch goal that unlocks, and at least 600 unique bits whether the campaign barely clears €500 or runs way past it. After early bird, it only goes up to €33, so you’re really deciding whether the bundle itself is worth it, not sweating the small price bump.
HeresyLab also says more than 85 percent of the files are already finished, pre-supported, and tested. That makes the €500 funding goal much easier to reach because this isn’t a campaign asking backers to fund months of sculpting before the files exist.
804 Bits Is What You Get When Nobody Caps Things
While this won’t get you an entire army in one buy, it will get you every bit you could need to outfit your existing one. Instead of getting two copies of a weapon on a sprue and trying to make them work, you’re getting different arm positions, weapon variants, and mirrored options so you can build around the pose you actually want.
Plasma Rifles Cover the Shooting
Every plasma rifle (and hand-equipped) comes with left and right arms, bringing that group alone to 19 models. Chainswords get three versions each: no hand, straight hand, and hand forward, then those get left and right for 18 bits altogether. We’d probably use the no-hand versions most because they’re easier to fit onto a model that’s already holding something.
Swords, Hammers, Fists and Claws Do the Melee Work
The swords with hands are made for both left and right for 30 models, which should be enough unless you’re putting a blade on basically every mini you have. Heavy hammers get the same treatment and add four bare arms, so you’ve got more room to make the pose work without hacking apart shoulder joints. One note: the hammer set is made for 32mm scale models and the other for 28 ones.
Mawls and claws each include four hands for the left and right, plus four interchangeable shields. Mix those around, and each set comes out to 32 different parts, which sounds like overkill until you’re trying to finish a five-man squad and realize you’re short two matching shields.
Heroic Heads and the Bitz You Only Miss at 11 p.m.
There are 20 heroic heads per chapter, which is enough that you shouldn’t have to keep recycling the same three faces across an army. Then you get the smaller stuff underneath all the headline weapons: seals, pouches, scrollwork, and the little details you don’t think about until a finished shoulder pad looks weirdly empty.
The Resin Packs and That €99 License Are the Odd Ones Out
If you don’t own a printer, HeresyLab has four resin packs printed by MMF for €25 each. Every pack includes 10 helmets, 3 cloaks, 5 loincloths, and 10 shoulder pads per chapter, with more available through add-ons.
It gives the no-printer crowd a way in, though physical rewards still take a bit longer to reach folks.
The €99 merchant tier, on the other hand, targets people who want to sell the bits themselves. It includes every file, the locked stretch goals, plus a one-year license to print the parts and sell physical copies, with the option to renew afterward.
You still can’t resell or share the files, use them for mass production or injection molding, or claim the designs as your own. If you’re running a small print business or selling at events, having all of that priced and spelled out up front beats trying to negotiate a commercial license through DMs.
Final Thoughts on the HeresyLab Miniature Bitz Selection
The reason to spend €29 here isn’t really to brag about having 600+ files on a hard drive. It’s having the arm, shield, head, or weapon you need when a conversion stalls because the original kit didn’t include it. That’s what makes a giant digital bits box useful, and not just impressive on a campaign page.
The STL files are scheduled for September and the resin packs for October. Hitting those dates, especially after the problems around the previous campaign that they already owned, would do more for the next Kickstarter than any stretch goal on this one.
