If you’ve been lurking in the dark corners of the Warhammer Community, you might have noticed the series 3 and 4 Space Marine Heroes miniatures creeping back into the spotlight.
Now, they return with a bang, front and center in this shiny new starter set, much to the delight of hobbyists! Perhaps best of all, this new starter set solves two massive problems for Games Workshop with one single release.

*To note, these have never been sold outside of the Heroes format, so we are using common prices for the value of the minis. We substituted a character box price for the Pustus the Vile, and Primaris Captain Justain, both of which are “chase rares” and sell for more on the secondary market. Only time will tell how much these two models will be worth.

Is the Space Marines Heroes Kill Team Starter Worth It?
It really comes down to whether you bought the Space Marines Heroes sets when they were limited releases. If you did, there isn’t much point in getting this; however, if you missed out, this is a decent buy! It has a lot of value, but most of it comes in the form of getting the minis cheaper (as the two characters can run upwards of $100 on eBay), and the terrain has some decent value as well.
There’s one question: do you want the Space Marine Heroes? If you answered yes, this is probably the easiest way to get them currently!
