Aeldari Exodites Finally Ride Into Warhammer 40k

The rumors for Exodites also turned out true, really rounding out the 2025 release. After more than three decades of rumors, conversions, and borrowed dinosaur kits, the Aeldari Exodites finally have new plastic miniatures. The five-model team includes a Clanblade riding a redmaw drakesteed, a mystical Stonesinger mounted on a venomcrest, and the ranged Leystalker hunting from atop a darkscale.
Two smaller Drakolithes complete the pack, while the Dragon Masters can alternatively be built as lance-armed Exodite Dragon Knights for 40k. Check out the full Kill Team: Exodite box and new Aeldari models breakdown for more details.
Prince Yriel Returns With a New Aeldari Corsair Crew
The Aeldari Corsairs were also revealed in 2026 and finally have enough new plastic to look like a real raiding force, led by a redesigned Prince Yriel with his Spear of Twilight and an optional helmet. Corsair Skyreavers bring winged jump packs and plenty of weapon options, while Kharseth the Aethyrmancer adds a named Void Dreamer psyker to the crew.

What’s in the 2025 Aeldari Wave
Here’s the short version before we get into dates. GW is reworking the Aspect Warriors for Warhammer 40k in one full pass, with new Phoenix Lords out front and a codex to tie it all together. The rumor mill pegged eight kits in total, and most of them have shown up in one form or another by now.
Baharroth is the fast one, the Phoenix Lord built around speed and hit-and-run, and he’s landing in the same wave as the Swooping Hawks. If you run Hawks, honestly he’s the obvious pickup to lead them.
New Eldar 40k Roadmap Spotted
The roadmap GW showed off at NOVA is where all this Aeldari timing actually comes from. Strip out the other factions and the Aeldari part is simple: Aspect Warriors with new sculpts, slotted into early 2025 to round out the line.
That early-2025 window is the hinge every date below hangs on. If the roadmap slips, these slip with it.
Games Workshop Reveals New 40k Fuegan Model
Fuegan is the one we’ve actually seen, not just heard about. He leaked ahead of schedule, and the reveal confirmed the Fire Dragons’ Phoenix Lord is getting a real overhaul in both sculpt and story. That early look matters more than it sounds, because a finished, photographed model is usually GW telling us the rest of the wave is close behind. WarCom made it official later when Fuegan stepped back out of the Webway.
New Aeldari Phoenix Lords Miniatures
This is where the four-to-six-month math comes from. Once GW starts photographing models and prepping press releases, the kits are usually about that far out. The photo evidence also lines up with the rumor that the Eldar are getting eight new kits total, not just a Phoenix Lord or two.

Aeldari Aspect Warriors Rumors & Release Dates
Here’s the whole wave in one place, sorted by how sure we are about each piece. The dates center around the codex, and most of the confirmations trace straight back to GW’s own photos and that NOVA roadmap.
- Phoenix Lord Baharroth: confirmed for the wave, expected around the early-2025 pre-order window with the Swooping Hawks.
- Phoenix Lord Asurmen: in the wave as the Aspect Warrior line gets its refresh.
- Phoenix Lord Lhykhis: a brand-new sculpt, and honestly the biggest surprise of the bunch.
- Phoenix Lord Fuegan: already revealed, so this one’s about as confirmed as it gets.
- Swooping Hawks: new Aspect Warriors, landing alongside Baharroth.
- Fire Dragons: same window as the Warp Spiders, likely with the codex.
- Warp Spiders: same window as the Fire Dragons, and now with their own Phoenix Lord.
- New Eldar Codex: the piece that ties the whole wave together.

One kit that’s staying put is the Dire Avengers. That sculpt is about twenty years old, but nothing in these rumors points to a refresh, so plan around the plastic you’ve already got.
GW Model From the 1990s
Karandras is the other gap. The Striking Scorpion Exarch still hasn’t shown up in this wave, and the model on shelves dates to the 1990s, so there’s a real size and detail mismatch sitting next to the new plastic. GW has said he’ll get a new sculpt eventually, just not on this pass, which leaves the lineup one Exarch short of complete.
Warp Spiders and Fire Dragons share the same window, and both look likely to drop with the codex. And the big one: GW finally made a brand-new Warp Spider Phoenix Lord in Lhykhis, the first time that Aspect has ever had its own.
Final Thoughts On New Eldar Models
So far these rumors have mostly held up, and that’s good news if you play Aeldari. The wave is real, and it’s landing with new plastic across almost the entire Aspect Warrior lineup. The two things left to watch are the codex date, which anchors everything else, and whether Karandras finally turns up to round out the roster. Keep half an eye on the pre-order cadence, because once GW starts photographing models, the rest tends to follow fast.
