New rumors and teasers are here for what may be the names and purpose of Mega-Gargant Characters that are on the way soon for AoS!
We’ve known about Sons of Behemat for a while. As far as we know, there will be three model variations that look to be potentially from one box. Think about how you can make just about any Questoris Class Imperial Knight from one kit, for example. On top of this, we know that Sons of Behemat models can be allied in with any army.
They really don’t care who wins as they just want to eat and go about their merry way. In the wise words of George Strait- These guys are here for a good time, not a long time.

RUMORS: Sons of Behemat Mega-Gargant Characters

Just who is Bundo Whalebiter? Allow us to explain! Sons of Behemat is coming out before too long, and in it, you won’t just find rules for an army of gargants, but a set of mercenaries that let you add a named Mega-Gargant to your armies! Order and Destruction forces can take Bundo Whalebiter, a towering (and surprisingly cunning) Kraken-eater. If your Lumineth Realm-lords need some extra punch, make sure to grab him when the Mega-Gargant kit drops!
As far as things are looking, depending on what kind of Alliance your army is a part of (Order, Death, Destruction, Chaos), you’ll have a certain named character (which is the same model but probably with different rules) unlocked for you.

It sounds like the different Grand Alliances can take a different named hero mega gargant as an ally. This makes sense and means that GW can give the allied versions different stats, both from those generic ones in the Battletome for Giants and also from each other. So the Chaos one can have Chaos features etc… It’s a neat idea on how to add a single model kit as a generic ally to any army; whilst at the same time allowing GW to design rules that are practical for that model in different situations.
With named Sons of Behemat now on the table, it’s got us thinking about an old classic Gargant…Kind Brodd.
Who is King Brodd?

Now let’s look at a rumor engine that could potentially point to King Brodd.

So what do you think about named Sons of Behemat characters headed this way? What kind of rules do you think these “faction mercenaries” will have to set them apart? Could King Brodd pop up as a character exclusive to an all-Gargant army?
