Stormcast Eternals Annihilation Host Review: Contents, Points, Pricing & Value

Stormcast Eternals Annihilation Host Christmas Battleforce box

The Stormcast Eternals Annihilation Host is their 2026 AoS Christmas Box, and if you’re thinking about buying the battleforce, we break down the models, value, and who it’s for.

The Stormcast Eternals Annihilation Host packs six kits worth $388.50 into a Christmas Battleforce, giving AoS players some serious savings to think about heading into Black Friday. Plus, with that much plastic in one box, this might sell out faster than the others, so plan ahead if you want to grab it.

GW revealed the box alongside the rest of this year’s AoS Christmas Battleforces on Warhammer Community, and the Stormcast Eternals went all in on heavy infantry. Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos leads the charge, and behind him comes a pile of Annihilators swinging hammers built to flatten anything in the Mortal Realms.

So we’re breaking down what’s in the box, what it’ll probably cost, when pre-orders may land, and whether the value holds up, and honestly, this one holds up better than most.

Article summary
  • What’s in the Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host: one Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos, one Lord-Relictor, one Lord-Celestant, three Praetors, six Annihilators, and three Annihilators with Meteoric Grandhammers.

Stormcast Eternals AoS Christmas Box Values & Pricing

AnnihilatorsThe Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host centers on Sigmarite armor and lots of hammers. Carthalos leads from the front, the Lord-Relictor and Lord-Celestant keep the hammers moving forward, the Praetors stand guard, and nine Annihilators crash down like Sigmar aimed them personally.

Honestly, it feels like GW looked through the whole Stormcast range, picked out the models that hit the hardest, and stuffed them into one box. There’s barely any shooting or speed in here, but if your plan is to smash whatever’s sitting in the middle of the table, this box gets you most of the way there for sure.

Is This Stormcast Eternals Box Worth It?

Lord-Commander Bastian CarthalosWell, you’re getting around $123.50 in savings with the Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host. Honestly, that’s a pretty solid number for a Christmas Battleforce.

It also carries the second-highest kit total of all six AoS Battleforces this year, behind only Slaves to Darkness. Sure, Annihilators are pricey on their own, and that helps juice the number. But that’s exactly why picking up nine of them in a discounted box makes sense.

So, if you play Stormcast or have been eyeing them for a while, this box is easy to justify. The catch is the army’s shape: 15 models, all heroes and heavy infantry, means you’ll need more kits to round out a full list (more on that below).

How Many Points Is This?

We would guess the Stormcast Eternals Battleforce points land somewhere around 970, which gets you about halfway to a 2,000-point list before you buy anything else.

What to Buy Next?

Stormdrake GuardIf you want the Annihilation Host to feel like a proper army instead of 15 very expensive hammers looking for something to hit, start with a unit or two of Liberators or Vindictors. That gives you cheaper bodies to hold objectives while the Annihilators get busy flattening things.

After that, grab something that’s fast or shoots. Prosecutors or Vanguard-Raptors give you the reach this box is missing, because Carthalos and nine Annihilators can only crush what they can actually get to.

Finally, look at a bigger centerpiece like Stormdrake Guard or a Knight-Arcanum, depending on what your list needs. Our Stormcast 2,000-point army guide and the 2026 AoS roadmap are both worth a look before you buy, so you don’t grab a kit right before it gets a refresh.

Final Thoughts on the Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host Christmas Box

Lord-RelictorIf GW holds the price at $265, we’d expect to see a lot of Annihilation Host armies hitting tables come January. This box gives Stormcast players a big pile of hammers at a real discount, and it doesn’t lean on filler to make the savings look bigger than they are.

Just keep an eye on the official price when it shows up in a Sunday Preview. If GW nudges it higher, that $123.50 shrinks fast, and with an army this heavy on elite infantry, you’ll want cash left over for the bodies and shooting this box doesn’t include. Christmas boxes also have a habit of disappearing quickly, so if you’re starting or bulking up a Stormcast army, we’d plan on grabbing this one early.
