Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

Rumor Engine: June 24th, 2025
This rumor engine resembles a new curved-blade weapon in its sheath or scabbard with stitching. The first comparisons that come to mind are the elves of AoS and Fantasy, particularly the Idoneth Deepkin. Still, though, this bit is pretty generic, so other than a loose feeling of a sea-faring blade, there isn’t much to go on.
We can say this is pretty rudimentary, so it’s more likely to be in the fantasy setting, rather than 40k or Heresy, but it’s not impossible!
Deepkin has a huge variety of curved blades. This squad alone has at least 6 different styles just from a quick scan!
Still, this is a rumor engine with tons of possible options; it really could be anything!
