In a “the floor is lava”-type of Box Set, there is a new bundle of Tzeentch and Kharadron Overlords with all-flying units inside. But even more exciting, two new Minis are coming inside. Take a look at this break down of the next Box Set to hit the shelves for Age of Sigmar
While we’ll be going over the contents of the Box Set, Warhammer Community already announced that they would be getting new Battletomes in January as well.

Aether War Box Set Value Break Down $185

Followers of Tzeentch Faction

The Magister on Disc of Tzeentch specializes in transforming enemy models into Chaos Spawn, which is both tactically useful and pleasing to Tzeentch, while his nine-bladed disc allows him to keep pace with your Tzaangor Enlightened and Screamers of Tzeentch.
As for the overall breakdown of units for your faction we’ve got:
- 1x 3-man Tzaangor Enlightened $40
- 1x 3-man Tzaangor Skyfires $40
- 1x 3-man Screamers of Tzeentch $35
- (New) Magister on Disc of Tzeentch $35?- Note that this is a new model. However, going off of a close scale matchup, the Tzaangor Shaman on Disc is $35.
Tzeentch Faction Only MSRP: $150
Kharadron Overlords Faction
The Kharadron Overlords are also getting a new unit on their side of the box.
The Endrinmaster with Dirigible Suit is the first unnamed airborne Hero for the Kharadron Overlords – great for keeping up with your skyvessels and leading your plucky Endrinriggers into battle.
With this entire faction having the FLY keyword as well, these guys are bringing all of this to the table:
- Grundstok Gunhauler $50
- 1x 3-man Skywardens $40
- 1x 3-man Endrinriggers $40
- (New) Endrinmaster with Dirigible Suit $35?- There is a named flying-scale Kharadron Dwarf, Brokk Grungsson for $40. However, named characters are usually slightly more expensive, which puts this guy in the range of $35.
Kharadron Overlords Faction Only MSRP: $165
Overall box Set MSRP: $315 (Feast of Bones was $315)
Total Box Set Savings: $130
In short, you’ll essentially get the Kharadron Overlords side for nearly free. However, this is another awesome box set to split with a friend. Whether you’re starting out in Age of Sigmar and want to get a deal, or just want to expand on your faction more, this is a solid deal!
Big picture, this box is slightly cheaper than Feast of Bones ($195) and (up from a $160 Looncurse and Carrion Empire less than a year ago). It also looks like the GW is beginning to put more of a price premium on getting new models ahead of time. That being said the Looncurse box only had about $300 in value in it for around 30 models, while FoB has around 25 models, and this box slightly less than that. Both Feast of Bones and Aether War seem to have about the same value, overall.

Which faction will you be getting out of the Box Set? Are you going to grab it just for the characters? How do you think the in-game mechanic will look for the Magister of Tzeentch when it comes to turning units into Chaos Spawns?
