Eye of Terror Reign of Iron Pre-Order: $75 (USA), $90 (Canada), $109 (Australia), £48.50 (UK), €60 (EU)

Eye of Terror Reign of IronBuy Yours Here

In Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron, the Iron Warriors launch a major campaign to seize control of this region, with the forge world Agripinaa standing as one of the last major obstacles in the way of Perturabo’s larger ambitions.

Eye of Terror Reign of Iron books

The content of these expansion books consists of two big parts that hobbyists should love. First, there is the narrative side, with lore covering the latest war in this new 40k warzone. Second, there is the rules side, with new detachments for:

  • Chaos Space Marines
  • Space Marines
  • Imperial Knights
  • Adeptus Mechanicus
  • Chaos Knights

There is also a separate rules book for large-scale Apocalypse battles, which is a pretty big deal for players who like their tables covered in armor, Lords of War, and enough firepower to flatten a sector.

Eye of Terror Pre-Order: Reign of Iron Collector’s Edition

  • This release is only available directly from Games Workshop; stores are not solicited for this product.

Eye of Terror Reign of Iron collectors

An Eye of Terror pre-order for the collector’s edition of the book bundle is also on the way, featuring alternate cover art, silver foil details, silver page edges, and a ribbon bookmark. As noted in the teaser, both editions are listed as available while stocks last.

Kravek Morne: $47 (USA), $56 (Canada), $78 (Australia), £29 (UK), €37 (EU)

Kravek Morne box art

Kravek MorneBuy Yours Here

Kravek Morne is the main Iron Warriors warlord driving the attack on Agripinaa. He is exactly the kind of commander you would expect from the legion: direct, violent, and completely at home in a grinding frontal assault. Rules-wise, he’s also a Land Raider spearhead commander backed by Terminator bodyguards, which is about as Iron Warriors as it gets.

From a hobby and army-building standpoint, he’s definitely a centerpiece character aimed squarely at Iron Warriors (but also CSM) players who want their force to feel more distinct on the table and in the display case.

Defiler Pre-Order: $145 (USA), $175 (Canada), $240 (Australia), £87.50 (UK), €115 (EU)

  • Allocated to stores, with around half a dozen available

Defiler optionsBuy Yours Here

The new Defiler pre-order is one of the most exciting releases in the whole preview. It is a fan-favorite monstrous Daemon Engine that can rip apart tanks in melee while hammering targets at range, and the build options are a big feature as well.

This kit includes:

  • Two torso pose options
  • Three carapace options
  • Two chest plates
  • Four generic Chaos Space Marine heads
  • One faction head each for Iron Warriors, Word Bearers, World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Emperor’s Children, and Death Guard
  • Two options for each shoulder

That is already a lot, and then the weapon loadout pushes it even further.

  • Chest: Hades battle cannon or ectoplasma destructor
  • Torso: excruciator cannons or magma cutters
  • Right arm: heavy reaper autocannon, Hades lascannon, heavy baleflamer, or electroscourge
  • Left arm: heavy reaper autocannon, Hades lascannon, heavy missile launcher, or electroscourge

That kind of flexibility is awesome for both collectors and players. Who doesn’t love a kit that is not locked into a single pose or legion identity?

Mutilators: $69 (USA), $83 (Canada), $117 (Australia), £42.50 (UK), €55 (EU)

Mutilators box art

MutilatorsBuy Yours Here

The new Mutilators kit builds three warp-twisted melee specialists with interchangeable weapons, leaning hard into the whole flesh-and-metal body horror angle Chaos players usually eat up.

These are clearly aimed at hobbyists who like mutated infantry that look like they belong at the front of a charge instead of standing back on objective duty.

Iron Warriors Upgrades

  • This release is only available directly from Games Workshop; stores are not solicited for this product.

Iron Warriors Upgrades 2026

The Iron Warriors upgrades sprue helps sell the legion’s vibe on the tabletop. It includes heads, shoulder pads, and accessories to push Legionaries and Havocs deeper into that unmistakable IV Legion look.

  • Two plumed helmets,
  • Nine variant helmets
  • Four bare heads
  • A heavy hammer
  • One power fist
  • Nineteen shoulder pads

Iron Warriors Combat Patrol Pre-Order: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

  • Allocated to stores, with around half a dozen available

The new Iron Warriors Combat Patrol bundles together:

  • 1 Warpsmith
  • 5 Havocs
  • 5 Chaos Terminators
  • 10 Legionaries
  • Iron Warriors upgrade frame

That is a force built to march straight into incoming fire and keep walking. It also lines up nicely with the theme already established for the legion in this campaign.

Iron Warriors Dice: $34 (USA), $39 (Canada), $54 (Australia), £19.50 (UK), €25 (EU)

Iron Warriors DiceBuy Yours Here

Yes, there are Iron Warriors dice, and yes, they are square-edged and dark silver with the legion icon on the six face. They are also while-stocks-last, which will surprise absolutely nobody.

Thulia Ghuld: $65 (USA), $78 (Canada), $84 (Australia), £40 (UK), €51.25 (EU)

Thulia Ghuld box art

Thulia GhuldBuy Yours Here

Thulia Ghuld is the mighty Archmagos leading the defense of the forge world in this new campaign. She is merciless, destructive, and revered by the Skitarii under her command, even if she does not always line up neatly with Belisarius Cawl.

That is strong lore for the new character, and it gives Adeptus Mechanicus players a major named figure directly tied to the warzone narrative.

Hastarii: $60 (USA), $70 (Canada), $98 (Australia), £36 (UK), €45 (EU)

Hastarii box art

HastariiBuy Yours Here

The Hastarii are heavily armored Skitarii optimized for fire support, and the kit can build one of two variants:

Spikey-bits-monhtly-giveaway-lineup-to-crop-logo-2
  • Hastarii Exterminators with eradication casters for close-range firepower
  • Hastarii Fusiliers with neutron fusils for long-range precision

That dual-build format is always welcome, especially in an army like Ad Mech, where typically their best infantry is specialized rather than generic.

Eye of Terror Adeptus Mechanicus Battalion: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

Eye of Terror Adeptus Mechanicus Battalion box art

Eye of Terror Battalio Adeptus MechanicusBuy Yours Here

The new Adeptus Mechanicus Battalion is clearly meant to reinforce an infantry-heavy collection with vehicles. It includes:

  • 1 Onager Dunecrawler
  • 1 Skorpius Disintegrator, which can also be built as a Skorpius Dunerider
  • 1 Ironstrider Ballistarius, which can also be built as a Sydonian Dragoon

The teaser points directly at the new Eradication Cohort Detachment from Reign of Iron as a natural fit for this box, which tells you a lot about the intended playstyle.

💡 You can see the pricing and value breakdown on this new 40k Adeptus Mechanicus Battalion pre-order here.

Hobby quick tips for Adeptus Mechanicus

For Ad Mech hobbyists, this wave screams “weathering opportunity”. Agripinaa is a forge world under siege, so oily metallics, scorched armor panels, and heat staining on barrels are going to fit the theme perfectly. If you want the army to feel tied to this campaign, lean into battle damage and industrial grime instead of keeping everything too pristine.

Imperial Knight Destrier Pre-Order: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

Imperial Knight Destrier box art

Knight DestrierBuy Yours Here

The Knight Destrier is a Bellatus-class chassis that sits between an Armiger and a Questoris Knight in height. It’s a fast, aggressive close-range brawler, which already makes it stand out.

Knight Destrier option

Its weapon options are:

  • Chastiser Gatling cannon
  • Frag bombard
  • Bellatus reaper chainsword
  • Thundershock spear

Any of these can be mounted on either arm, giving players room to build it as a ranged specialist, melee bully, or mixed-role threat. The fully detailed cockpit interior, pilot, two leg poses, and three faceplates also make it a dream kit for painters and hobbyists alike.

Eye of Terror Imperial Knights Battalion: $210 (USA), $260 (Canada), $350 (Australia), £125 (UK), €160 (EU)

Eye of Terror Battalion Imperial KnightsBuy Yours Here

The new Imperial Knights Battalion includes:

  • 1 Dominus-pattern Knight that builds as a Knight Valiant or Knight Castellan
  • 2 Armigers that build as Warglaives or Helverins

This one is all about flexibility. Plus, the new Freeblade Company Detachment from Reign of Iron gives players another way to get this battalion onto the tabletop with fresh rules.

Hobby quick tips for Imperial Knights

Large armor panels live or die on clean paintwork. If you are tackling the Knight Destrier or the new battalion, sub-assemblies are going to save you a headache. Paint the framework and armor plates separately, and don’t be shy about using transfers and weathering powders if you want that “warzone feel” without losing crisp detail.

Eye of Terror Sons of Dorn Battalion Pre-Order: $270 (USA), $325 (Canada), $386 (Australia), £177 (UK), €215 (EU)

  • Allocated to stores, with around half a dozen available

Eye of Terror Battalion Sons of DornBuy Yours Here

The Sons of Dorn Battalion is basically a vehicle column with chapter flavor baked in. It includes:

  • 1 Redemptor Dreadnought
  • 1 Ballistus Dreadnought
  • 2 Repulsor Executioners

The box also comes with upgrades and transfers for both Imperial Fists and Black Templars, which is a nice touch for players who want a force connected by gene-line while still choosing their own chapter angle.

It also works great with the Ceramite Sentinels Detachment from Reign of Iron, suggesting a defensive but aggressive armored wall meant to stop the Iron Warriors’ advance.

💡 You can see the pricing and value breakdown on this new 40k Sons of Dorn Battalion pre-order here.

Hobby quick tips for Imperial Fist/Black Templar players

If you are building this battalion as Imperial Fists, keep your yellow recipe efficient and consistent before you touch the big tanks. If you are going Black Templars, the clean black armor and contrasting details are going to do most of the work, so focus on edge highlights and iconography rather than overcomplicating the finish.

White Dwarf Issue 523

White Dwarf issue 523 leans into both Imperial Knights and Chaos Knights, which makes sense given how much towering engine action showed up in the preview itself.

There is also a spotlight on the new Chaos Defiler, plus content for Age of Sigmar focused on the Tower of Blades and a Daughters of Khaine mini-game. That is a healthy spread if you like the magazine for both hobby inspiration and side-format rules.

We think the real standouts of the new Eye of Terror Pre-Orders are the Reign of Iron book, the new Defiler, and the faction-specific battalions.

Plus, the Knight Destrier is going to get a lot of hobbyists thinking about conversions, paint schemes, and whether they suddenly need another giant robot to paint.
