Unlock victory with the top 40k tournament army lists from Battle For Salvation GT, featuring Tyranids, Leagues of Votann, and Chaos Space Marines.
Looks like the 40k meta problem is ‘fixed now’ with the new balance dataslate, and the rip cord has been pulled for other armies to have a chance.
Last week, T3 armies were dominating the meta, but this week, the meta is a bit calmer, perhaps even balanced for once?
Either way, the huge Battle For Salvation GT is over, and now we can look at which 40k factions’ playstyles and army lists managed to secure a place at the top!

1st Place: Samuel Pope, Tyranid Army Lists
The winning Tyranid list was about overwhelming the prey until there was nothing left. Every unit in this swarm had a role, all connected through the will of something far older and hungrier than the galaxy itself.
At the center of it all was a Tervigon, the mother-beast of nightmares. As the Warlord, it was patching up gaps in the swarm as fast as the enemy could carve them out. With massive talons and a stinger salvo, it fought like a living fortress.
Hovering above the carnage came a Winged Hive Tyrant, the airborne enforcer of the Hive Mind. Its bonesword and lash whip tore through anything pretending to be elite.
Beneath these monsters scurried the endless tide. Hormagaunts darted across the board like blades on legs, swarming objectives before anyone else could blink. Behind them came four massive broods of Termagants, each one firing volleys of spinefists and stranglewebs that buried opponents under dice rolls and despair.
Every time one brood fell, the Tervigon replaced them, ensuring the table stayed packed with alien bodies from start to finish.
The fire support came from three Exocrines, each one a walking artillery piece vomiting bioplasmic death across the board. Their shots carved through armor and left glowing craters where squads used to be. The Biovore added insult to injury, lobbing spore mines that drifted lazily into enemy lines before detonating in acidic bursts.
The Genestealers handled the close work, sprinting ahead with inhuman speed. Their claws and talons sliced through defenders with surgical precision, clearing objectives before vanishing back into the shadows.
Lurking nearby, two Neurolictors stalked through cover, feeding the swarm tactical data and panic in equal measure. The Venomthropes slithered behind the main line and made the entire swarm harder to hit.
2nd Place: Drew Salzborn, Leagues of Votann Army Lists
3rd Place: Johnny Zoo, Chaos Space Marines Army List
Final Thoughts From Us: Battle For Salvation GT
As the dust settles from the Battle for Salvation GT, it’s clear that Tyranids feasted like kings. While the Leagues of Votann and Chaos Space Marines put up a strong fight. They proved that even in defeat, there’s glory in the chaos.
The new balance changes are already mixing things up, so don’t get too comfortable. Next week’s meta could look completely different, or it could be more balanced… we just don’t know.
