Warhammer Day Previews for 40k, AoS, HH & More

new gw previews adepticon LVO nova openCheck out the latest teaser for the upcoming Warhammer Day previews including Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, Horus Heresy, and more!

It’s been a little while since we’ve had the big Gen Con preview and since these will be coming from Warhammer Day, we expect them to be big. The preview will be taking place Saturday, October 30th.

Warhammer Community just unveiled the new preview teaser. They didn’t give too many ideas on what to expect, but all the big games will be included and even Horus Heresy, so we might finally see the new starter set for that. Let’s check out the teaser more.

Warhammer Day Previews for 40k, AoS, HH & More

Warhammer Day Previews

Saturday the 30th of October is Warhammer Day and there’s no better way to celebrate than with an online preview! There are going to be massive reveals for a whole host of games and we’ve got all of the details you need to ensure that you don’t miss any of them.

We’ve already shown off the incredible new models that you’ll be able to pick up as part of the Warhammer Day celebrations. On the day itself, we’ll have all of the latest news about the following games.

All the big games are there with pretty much everything but not Adeptus Titanicus. If you ask us, that one in the middle looks an awful lot like a new Ogor, which we’ve been hearing rumors about for a while now! So let’s hope our guess is right and that is coming soon.

We’d then guess the one on the left is for the new Warcry band we’ve been seeing. Lastly, the one on the right looks like it could easily be something for Horus Heresy. Maybe, just maybe it will be the new starter we’ve been hearing rumors about for a long time.

Warhammer Day Previews 2We don’t have that long to wait, so either way, be sure to tune in and check out everything being revealed!

Let’s check out everything that still hasn’t come out. So these previews might have to take a backseat to the upcoming releases that are still on deck for 2021 so far…

Krondys, Son of Dracothion

New Stormcast Dragons 2

New Stormcast Dragons 3

An integral member of Sigmar’s inner circle, Krondys is majestic, wise, and immensely powerful. Already among the most magically potent beings in the Mortal Realms, Krondys also bears the Regalia Fulmentaris around his neck – a piece of armour that magnifies his substantial magical abilities.

So, not only is this giant and will probably do all kinds of melee damage, but it is also a spell caster, so should be quite the powerful character. The only thing will be points cost, if it’s just insanely high like Kragnos, not sure how many armies will find room for it. The model itself is pretty cool with plenty of detail and will really stand out on the tabletop.

Karazai the Scarred

New Stormcast Dragons 4

New Stormcast Dragons 5Finding himself without an invite to Sigmar’s party, Karazai has been scouring Ghur, seeking vengeance for his scrambled kin and wreaking havoc on the forces of Destruction. When a dragon spends too long in the Realm of Beasts, though, a little of that realm may also find its way into the dragon, and thus it is that Karazai has become a bitter and violent creature – all but consumed with wrath and revenge. But doesn’t he strike a pose?

Since this one is not specifically for Sigmar, there may be a chance it can be used by other armies as well, which would be super fun. Plus, we assume it will be quite the monster in melee and maybe gets stronger when it gets too low enough wounds. Just a guess but could be fun and flavorful.

More Age of Sigmar Stormcast Dragons Incoming

New AoS Stormcast Dragons 4Get a load of this guy. With his flaming sword* and fancy helmet with built-in moustachios, the Knight-Draconis is exactly as much of a beast on the battlefield as you’d expect from such a mighty champion of Sigmar.

The dragon does definitely have a different look than the old aesthetic, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Either way, it looks like Stormcast is not done getting new units quite yet. But this might finally be the last release for now.

New AoS Stormcast Dragons 4It’s hard to decide which is the best detail. The Dragonith’s special hat is a strong contender – this is a kit with much more than its fair share of fancy headgear – but the tilting plate on his breast is very cool too, not least because it implies the Stormdrake Guard enjoy a spot of dragon jousting… And we repeat, if you take him as your general, you can run an entire army of dragons.

How cool would it be to have an entire dragon army? Might not be super competitive, but who cares, you have an army of dragons!

Stormdrake Guard

New AoS Stormcast Dragons 4Stormdrake Guard are Stormcast Eternals who have forged a symbiotic relationship with their Draconith mounts. Clad in thunderstrike armour and adorned with a rare Draconith beastmark, these warriors can be armed either with a drakerider’s lance or drakerider’s warblade.

It looks like they will be releasing this in a kit where you can build either option, much like the previous dragons as well. Overall both variations look cool and it would just be fun to see a full dragon army on the table.

6 New Age of Sigmar 3.0 Battletomes: Rumors & Previews

kruleboyzBefore diving into the confirmed release, let’s cover some rumors about what battletomes might also be among the first releases for this new edition.

Maggotkin

99120201079_MKMaggotkinOfNurgleBoxThe boys of Nurgle look to be receiving the first book, it’s been a little over 3 years (at the time of writing) since they received a battletome, so it feels about the right time for them to finally get an update.

We’ve also seen some Rumor Engines that hint toward some Nurgle-looking hints. So, if you play them, be on the lookout for an announcement soon.

Gloomspite Gitz

gloomspite gitz age of sigmar how to playAgain, this is about a 3-year-old book, with how much things have changed with AoS in that time, not to mention a new edition, they need a little bit of work. They are still performing okay but could use some reworks.

We’re not sure what new minis they will get, as their model line isn’t that old. Still, they will probably get a new champion or two, or at least a couple of reworks.

Ogors

ogors reinforced batsLet’s just say we are hoping beyond hope this is true, and that basically, they get a rehaul on almost all of their minis! We don’t even care about the book so much, just the need for some new minis!

A large portion of their units is from before the change over to AoS, meaning they haven’t been touched in years and years. This could be a massive overhaul, or if GW doesn’t feel like it, maybe they just redo a unit or two. Let’s just hope that’s not the case!

Beasts of Chaos

beasts of chaosYou know an army needs a rework when the pictures on the site for multiple of their units are still on square bases. It’s like GW just didn’t even care enough to change them to the new format over the years.

So, yeah, they need a rework and new minis! Maybe they and Ogors can come in a new starter box together with all new minis! One can dream, but according to these rumors, we don’t have that long to wait until we know for sure

stormcast-kruelboyz-battletomeWith the rumors out of the way, the actual 2 books announced are Orruks and Stormcast. With all the new minis they are receiving and being in the Dominion box, they will be grabbing the first two books with some rules previewed here already.

RUMORS New Bundle Box Sets Coming to Age of Sigmar

aos 3.0 core bookThe first box is said to be Gloomspite Gitz vs Beasts of Chaos. This box is going to be full of new minis, so be on the lookout!

Next up will be Start Collecting for Ogors, with Ossiarch Bonereapers getting the box after that. Slaves to Darkness are also getting some love in the way of an upgrade sprue (like the Cadian one) and brand new Chosen.

Lastly, we’re not sure about the box, but the upcoming Oath Breakers (Chaos Dwarves) will be kicking off the “Broken Realms” of the new edition, but that’s supposedly not coming until 2023.

Gloomspite Gitz vs Beasts of Chaos

gloomspite gitz trollThis will be a dual army box, meaning if you play either side, you’ll be getting new stuff! The gobbo side of things will see a new Scuttleboss on Giant Spider. While the old mini isn’t too bad, it’s really nothing to write home about.

While that’s nice, Beasts of Chaos will be getting a whole host of new minis! They will be getting three new minis, Doombull, Bullgor, and Jabberslythe. All three of those kits really need a rework (not to mention everything they have).

Start Collecting Ogors

According to the rumors, they will be getting a new box along with their upcoming new book. In that, they will grab a new plastic Slaughtermaster/Butcher. This is great because they’ve needed an update for a long time. Not sure if they will be grabbing other new minis or not, but at least they can look forward to one new one for sure.

 Ossiarch Bonereapers

bone kings ossiarch bonereapers age of sigmarThey received some new stuff for Underworlds, so that’s usually a good precursor to new minis for AoS. This probably won’t happen for a while, but it looks like they will be getting a new hero on foot and Mortek Archers. So two new units is something you can’t complain about!

Slaves to Darkness

slaves to darkness chaosLast but not least, it looks like Chaos will receive some love. Maybe not as much as they need, but some. With  Chaos Warriors and Knights getting an upgrade sprue very similar to what they just did with Cadians. Luckily, they will also be getting brand new Chosen, which really need it because they don’t look very loved by the Chaos Gods right now.

But remember, these are all rumors after all…

Umbraneth

malerion walIt all started when they did a preview of Shadow, Iron, and Broken Realms and revealed this shadowy artwork. It reminded us of Malerion taking a new form. Some of you may have heard of the name “Malerion” aka Malekith aka the Witch King before from the world that was… We’ve also seen a little short story of him talking to Morathi and the fact that he is finally manifesting himself into the mortal realms.

Well, he needs an army to lead, so we expect them to be kind of like dark elves in a sense. We haven’t seen any minis, but this looks like GW has been setting them up for a long time now. If you want to read more about the initial time we thought they were coming, check that out here.

According to this new rumor though, these will be near the end of 2022.

Oath Breakers

chaos-dwarfWhile it’s been a really long time since we’ve seen a full-scale release for them, we’ve seen minis released here and there for a long time now from Forge World- which have since disappeared.

Let’s be honest, this would just be a really cool rework of an army that never really got its day in the sun (well maybe they did about 10 years ago). With these being the last of the three mentioned, we’re not really sure when we would see them, but they are probably who we are most excited for!

They have some really cool old minis to style the new army on and with the sculpts GW has been putting out, they could look amazing! Unfortunately, according to the rumors, they won’t be hitting the game until 2023…

Warhammer 40k Codex Roadmap Revealed to 2022!

Codex release Map

Eagle-eyed heretics** may note the lack of codexes for the Traitor Legions. Do not despair, as 2022 will be a bumper year for warp-based shenanigans.

Obviously, we recently saw Grey Knights and Thousand Sons. If you missed out on the Beast Snagga box, you are in luck as September will see the full release of the codex. We assume they are giving the month to them alone because it could also be when all the new miniatures go live as well.

So if you’ve been waiting patiently (not very Orky of you though), you don’t have much longer to go. We’re happy it’s coming soon because a lot of people missed out on the box. November will be Black Templars, and by the sounds of it, they may be getting much more than just the Emperor’s Champion.

What Could be Coming Next?

Codex roadmapAnd in December, we’ll see brand new codexes for xenos and Imperial armies. What could they be? We can’t tell you, which has nothing to do with the Inquisitor looming menacingly behind us…

So first up, these are the generic art they use for Xenos and Imperial armies, so not too much to look into there. We have heard some rumors of Eldar coming soon with all three of the factions in one book (Craftworlds, Harlequins, and Ynnari).

This would make sense in a way because it could knock out three Xenos armies in one go and Eldar has traditionally received their codex very early on in new editions (not that it’s that early…). Other than that, Tyranids could very well see a book with them taking center stage in the new Charadon book. In a weird way though, we hope they don’t because it would probably mean not many updated minis.

octarius dkok death korpsAs for the Imperial side of things we would put our money on the Imperial Guard. They’ve been getting a ton of random minis and boxes. So it would make sense for their new book to follow, plus, it would be a perfect time to release more plastic DKoK!

Orks & DKoK Boxes

40k Kill Team Starter 4

No, we weren’t teasing you – by popular request, the Death Korps of Krieg and Ork miniatures from Kill Team will indeed soon be available separately (around the same time that the Starter Set hits the shelves).

While we don’t have an exact date, they usually don’t reveal the boxes more than a month or so out. It is interesting they are putting these in Kill Team-specific boxes, let’s hope that doesn’t mean anything bad for the release of more DKoK. We’ll have to wait on that one!

New Black Templars Primaris Emperor’s Champion!

Black Templars Emperors Champion 2Wreathed in divine light, descending from the cold darkness of space with righteous fury, please be upstanding for the living miracle himself – the Emperor’s Champion.

Well, this is definitely Primaris sized, just like we had hoped. The new mini is honestly really cool without totally changing the look and feel of the original. Plus who doesn’t love them a tactical rock too boot!

Black Templars Emperors Champion 3Emperor’s Champions also wear the Armour of Faith and an Iron Halo, artefacts of such sacred power that the Black Templars have been known to launch entire crusades to recover them if a Champion falls in battle. This is a Chapter that does not mess around.

They definitely added a lot of detail this time around, this might be the only new mini they grab, but it’s better than nothing.

Size Comparison

Black Templars Emperors Champion 4This new Emperor’s Champion is actually a careful homage to a classic model from antiquity – Warhammer 40,000’s third edition – which honours Chapter tradition by retaining an iconic pose.

The size is quite bigger and just makes this poor old Champion look a bit shrimpy. Now your Champion doesn’t have to be smaller than all those pesky Primaris!

New 40k Black Templars Chaplain Grimaldus Revealed!

It really looks like GW doesn’t want any of the Black Templars champions to remain in the smaller Firstborn scale. It looks like this may be something every chapter can look forward to soon as well.

Grimaldus black templars 3Warhammer Community has just unveiled the newest mini alongside his retinue. The model is pretty similar to his old one, just reworked and of course, bigger. He is the third named character to come along with the new release, following Helbrecht and the Emperor’s Champion.

Grimaldus black templarsGrimaldus earned his title during the siege of Helsreach, when a millions-strong Ork horde fell upon the hive city. After months of intense fighting, the survivors fell back to the Temple of the Emperor Ascendent where they held the Orks at bay until the building itself collapsed around them.

Miraculously, Grimaldus pulled himself from the rubble carrying three holy relics of the temple. Ever since, he has marched to war with them at his side, carried by a retinue of Cenobyte Servitors.

The new mini is pretty sweet and they really just took the old sculpt and really updated it. He still has plenty of relics, seals, and skulls everywhere! Black Templars are really going to be one of the first armies to more or less go all Primaris.

So by the next edition, we may not see too many Firstborn survivors as it looks like Guilliman is getting his way and everyone is going to Primaris. At least it means more wounds…

Grimaldus black templars 2The servitors carry the Banner of Fallen Crusaders, the Sceptre of Anointing, and the Remnant of the Fallen Temple. They form a procession-like unit on the battlefield that rallies the spirits of nearby Black Templars and drives them onward.

We’re glad they kept his little retinue as they are just really cool. The updated versions of them have all kinds of great relics and the new banner looks super badass.

GrimaldusAll this is based on a super dope classic piece of Mark Gibbons artwork that is nearly 20 years old.

Overall it’s a great time to be a loyalist and an even worse time to be a heretic!  Need more on everything Black Templars? Here’s the latest news and rumors for these crusaders!

New 40k Black Templars Helbrecht Kit Confirmed!

Helbrecht 3'

Amazing, right? All jazzed up in his artificer suit of Mark X armour, he looks every bit the no-nonsense crusader that we know and love. The new Helbrecht model faithfully reimagines this classic piece of atmospheric artwork, with the Chapter Master of the Black Templars standing triumphantly over the body of an Ork, the fabled Sword of the High Marshals lodged in its chest.

They definitely kept the feel of the old model and just updated it in both size and detail for the new edition. They did a great job with him and he really looks ready to lead your crusading forcing against the enemies of the Emperor!

Helbrecht

Helbrecht 2Helbrecht now comes with a choice of three heads – one helmeted and two bare – so you can customise him to suit your preferred level of zeal. He also lost a hand fighting Imotekh the Stormlord since he last got a model – a nugget of lore that’s been faithfully represented on his new miniature.

The extra head options are definitely a plus and there is a ton of little detail basically everywhere on the mini. If you need a big baddy to lead your forces, this seems to be a perfect choice!

Black Templars Full 40k Army Reveal

Overall we have to say this update is pretty awesome and just full of really cool minis. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of new BT armies out there soon!

black templars sword brethren 2

black templars sword brethrenHere we have the Castellan – effectively a fancy-pants Black Templars lieutenant – based on an inimitable piece of Black Templars art, providing a radically different look to your average Space Marine thanks to his skeletal pauldrons, all that piping, and the unconventional armour design.

We really like that they’ve been using the older artwork to base new characters on, as the old art is just so Grimdark! With him being a fancy lieutenant, we don’t expect the rules to be too crazy for him but who knows.

New Black Templars Sword Brethren

black templars sword brethren 3The Sword Brethren have also had an almighty glow-up. This elite squad can wield a diverse array of melee weapons, including thunder hammers and lightning claws, to beat and slash some faith into the most formidable opponents.

This looks like a really big upgrade compared to the old set and the with the number of different bits they show, we expect this to be a beefy kit, and probably expensive.

black templars sword brethren 4

black templars sword brethren 5

black templars sword brethren 6

black templars sword brethren 7These guys look like they are ready for some serious crusading and with so many options, this kit will be super fun to build and paint up. That’s not everything either, they’ve also released an upgrade kit to make your normal marines look more the part.

Black Templars Upgrade Kit

black templars sword brethren 8To represent this look across all of your army, you can get your hands on an upgrade frame packed full of details you can add to your regular Primaris Space Marines.

black templars sword brethren 9Outfit any Adeptus Astartes squad with custom pauldrons, cover your Assault Intercessors with honorific ribbons, and equip a Repulsor with a multi-melta – a weapon that the Templars favour for its ferocity.

Honestly, this is a pretty decent upgrade kit, you can even use it to turn marines into Neophytes. With all the heads, shoulder pads, and weapons, this can take your existing force pretty easily into the new book.

RUMORS: New Eldar Models Coming, Get Hype!

Normally we don’t put “rumors” into the roadmap, unless they are just too strong to discount, like these Eldar ones…

new eldar models 2These rumors (and composite image above) come from Aeldari Warhammer 40k Discord, which you can sign up for here.

Let’s start with the one that is a little less speculative. When you look at these two pictures side by side, it really looks like this could easily be the model. The blood effects on the old one are, shall we say, old.

So it would make sense for the new model to be much bloodier, bigger, and just way better. This isn’t the first rumblings we’ve heard of a new Avatar either, so let’s just hope this is true. This would also most likely mean a big buff as well. Because we all know GW likes to buff units when they get new minis.

Rumors: An Imperial Guard Update is in the Works

Imperial-guard-wal-horWith some kits already out for them, it looks like an Imperial Guard update is in the works for the not-so-distant future!

When we first saw the Gaunt’s Ghosts box and Cadian upgrade sprue are hopes were flying high for a codex soon. According to these rumors compiled from a few sources, it looks like it’s still happening, just not as soon as we had hoped. Still, it looks like a sizeable update with more upgrade sprues and even a new tank.

The update looks like it will give upgrade sprues to flesh out some of the other regiments, a possible new Kasrkin box, and a new tank fitting somewhere in between the Leman Russ and a Baneblade. Let’s check out what we’ve seen so far and then get into the rumors.

Rumors: New Tau Codex & Model Updates Coming Soon

Rumors-wal-horThe internet is alive with rumors of a new Tau codex and some model updates beyond the Pathfinders upgrade sprue we’ve seen so far!

These rumors are compiled from two different sets with some promising news for all Tau players. First off, it doesn’t seem like the Pathfinders will be the only kit, but it doesn’t seem like a full release quite like the one we are seeing for the Black Templars.

Their line is fairly old (about 10 years or so) but the minis all still look good. So we expect GW to focus more on the rules than the models. As we think people will buy them (what GW wants when they update an army) if they just give them better rules. Let’s first look at what we know is coming then check out the rumors.

Rumors: Genestealer Cults & Custodes Box Coming Soon!

Codex release MapLet’s start with the reveal from GW, they said a Xenos and Imperial book are coming in December. Conveniently, this rumor has a Xenos and Imperial army coming in December.

Just to note, the artwork is just stock, they’ve used them for every codex reveal, so, unfortunately, you can’t read into them. Anyways, the timing would line up perfectly with what GW has laid out. This is both good and bad if you play the factions. It means they are getting a book sooner, but it also means they are only grabbing one new mini this time around.

Here’s the actual rumor from Reddit.

rumors GSC

You may notice that there is not only everything in there about the Black Templars release, but they also predicted nail the Sisters and Tau release for Kill Team as well, both from a post over a month old!

Now the same source says the Custodes are getting something that the Warhammer world has been severely lacking, a new Lieutenant! Whereas the GSC will grab a Saboteur.

RUMORS: New Plastic Horus Heresy Starter Set Pics Spotted!

What appears to be pictures of a new Plastic two-player Horus Heresy set featuring a Contemptor Dreadnought along with a Spartan Tank have surfaced on Reddit.

Horus Heresy Box 1

Horus Heresy Box 2

Horus Heresy Box 3

Horus Heresy Box 5

Horus Heresy Box 6Note that these are photos of images on a monitor which are probably legit “leaks”. (we say leaks in quotes because many hobbyists have their doubts that GW is not leaking images intentionally to follow up with cheeky announcements to build hype for their products).

And why wouldn’t they? It’s literally worth millions of dollars in sales for them to do so…

Plus new rumors are even saying the release date on this set may have been moved up, and the Spartan may actually be a dual kit- which would be pretty neat!

New Orks:

Beast SnaggasWhile not part of the Beast Snaggas, they finally made a mini for the Warboss in Mega Armour! It looks amazing and even has a little Grot shooting his gun for him. He’s in the combat patrol but not separately available yet.

GW Confirms New Ork Boyz

New Ork Boyz

Speaking of rumours and legends, some of you with the eyes of skilled Tanith marksmen noted something unusual on the new Gaunt’s Ghosts box at the weekend. Are those new Ork Boyz pictures fighting the Cadian Shock Troops on the back of the box? Yes, they are! We’ll save you squinting at a grainy pic, here is one of da new Boyz in all their glory. First Beast Snaggas and now new Boyz – 2021 looks like the year to be green…

Orks Combat PatrolThe new Boyz and Deff Koptas are available in the combat patrol but not on their own yet.

GW Reveals Exclusive New Minis for Warhammer+

Exclusive miniFirst up is the Vindicare Assassin, this looks like a 3D render, but that is only half right. While it is a prototype 3d print it’s an amazing diorama model for what hobbyists will get down the road. They basically have a year to nail it down. Still, this is honestly pretty sweet! Not sure what base size this will be on, but it will make a perfect centerpiece for you to really sink your teeth into and let your painting ambitions go crazy. This makes sense for a model as it can be used by so many factions, so any Imperial player can take advantage of it.

Exclusive mini 2An Orruk takes the spot for AoS. The mini looks pretty sweet, but the one thing that’s hard to tell is how big it is. They said the skull on the back is an Ogors and the skull in its hand is a Stormcast. So this is just going to be giant! The Choppa itself is probably bigger than some minis out there. Again though, you won’t get this mini until you are subscribed for a full 12 months.

New Necromunda: Klovis the Redeemer & Deacon Malakev

Klovis the Redeemer 2If you think the giant eviscerator he’s carrying is his most dangerous weapon, you need to think again. That book he’s holding is the Liber Excruciatus, and it contains every method of torture the Redeemer has ever carried out.

In the heat of battle, he’s been known to open it and read out some of the horrific things he’s done to scare off his foes.

Anyone who can wield an eviscerator one-handed is scary in his own right, then you add in the fact he can just make enemy fighters flee by reading out how he’s going to torture them, this becomes quite the frightening mini!

Against weak-minded enemies, this is going to be a seriously annoying ability. He’s not coming to the game by himself though, he has quite the sidekick!

Klovis the Redeemer 4If you’re wondering who writes down all of those disgusting acts, look no further than Klovis the Redeemer’s sidekick – Deacon Malakev. He’s always found scurrying around after his master, and we’ve got some pict grabs of him too.

Not sure how he will perform combat-wise, but having a model who can take all the range attacks from Klovis is pretty cool!

New Necromunda House Cawdor

new house Cawdor NecromundaOften working together in pairs to accomplish things they might struggle to achieve alone, the Stig-shamblers are lumbering their way to an underhive conflict near you. The Stig-shambler bears many hallmarks of House Cawdor – weapons merely held together with tape, nails on their armour, and even a candle to light their heavy flamer. When your pal is with you, nothing can stop you from joining in the fray.

Honestly, this is a pretty wild mini and would just be so much fun to throw down on the tabletop. Plus, as we said, this would just make for so many fun conversions, so if you like putting minis under the knife, this would be a great mini for it.

new house Cawdor Necromunda 3Stig-shamblers are lumbering Brutes armed with clubs and heavy weaponry, directed by diminutive pilots. By working together, they become more than the sum of their parts, capable of causing untold carnage in the sump-scapes of Necromunda.

They didn’t give us an exact release fate but usually when they show the previews we’re about a month out from the release. Which really isn’t too bad. Plus, they revealed a single new rule, for now, let’s check that out!

New Van Saar Brute Brings the Armor to Necromunda!

Van Saar BruteServo-suits are typically used in heavy industry to lift materials or operate machinery. The Van Saar are particularly fond of them, due to both the deficiencies caused by radiation poisoning that has afflicted their clan and their love of technology.

Of course, the House isn’t above adding a few extra weapons to them when they’re expecting a dust-up with a rival gang. The heavy weaponry they’re packing generally tips the scales in their favour.

Honestly, this is a really cool mini and the baby carrier makes much more sense on this. Since they are used for factory work originally.

Van Saar Brute 2Thanks to its additional arms, the Van Saar Servo-suit has been nicknamed the ‘Arachni-rig’ by other gangs. It’s walking proof that the next best thing to being forewarned on Necromunda is being four-armed.

Just imagine you’re in a gang fight, nothing but your shirt on and this thing rampages out to rip you apart. Just doesn’t seem fair…

Necromunda Van Saar Augmek Revealed by GW!

Van saar Augmek

The Van Saar Augmeks, already on almost equal footing with their Prime leaders, are enough of a threat on their own due to their immense firepower. However, this new kit gives you the option to add one to your gang with a small entourage of eight-legged pals, which represent a twisted echo of their house sigil.

We really like how they went with the Van Saar line, they just have a really cool aesthetic about them. The Augmek mini itself is really sweet with a ton of detail and obviously, a giant gun! If you need to add a little extra firepower and scariness to your gang, this will be the perfect addition.

Van saar Augmek 2Cyberachnids are bred from Necromunda’s mutated spider population, and they’re cybernetically modified into loyal killing machines. If they’re not poisoning or tearing apart their enemies, they’re scaring them straight into their masters’ crosshairs.

Hmmm, mutated spiders… Yeah sounds like a good time. Even if you don’t use these for Necromunda, they could make for a ton of fun little additions to a lot of armies out there.

Necromunda Outcasts and New Terrain Revealed At Gen Con

We knew there was something on the way according to the latest Necromunda Roadmap, and now we have our answer. These new Outcasts, rules, and terrain set releases are sure to resonate with current hivers looking for their next project!

Luckily for Necromunda fans, they actually have quite a few reveals from GenCon! Thanks to a recent Warhammer Community article, we know that they have models, terrain, and even more new rules on the way!

necromunda mercs outcastsAs far as new models go, these are it!

Now it’s time to meet the waifs and strays from outside of the House system. These are the dregs from the wrong end of town, and they’re perfect if you’ve ever dreamed of commanding a gang of outlaws and mercenaries.

This is a really fun set of thematic miniatures that capture the essence of a gang of ne’er-do-wells from the wrong side of the tracks.

But what exactly do they do and how will they play? well… all of their rules will be inside this new rule supplement that was also revealed.

Along with rules for using an Outcasts gang in Necromunda, including scenarios, tactics, and more, the book includes lore that explores the place of this nefarious subset in the Necromundan hierarchy.

New books are always exciting additions, especially to the smaller scale games where one book can completely shift the meta of it all. How these Outcasts will play is still a little mysterious, but with a book officially revealed, there are sure to be some rule previews to follow suit before too long, so keep your eyes peeled!

necromunda terrain genconThis stunning terrain kit is perfect for narrative battles. Subjugators breaking up a black market trading post? Corpse Grinder Cultists looking to open up a meat market? The possibilities are almost endless with this modular kit, which can be used with all of the existing Zone Mortalis terrain. Fans of rare antiquities will be pleased to know that you also get two mung vases in the Underhive Market set – but are they real or counterfeit?

While this is of course made for Necromunda, you can always use this in Kill-team or even 40k as well! New settings always help to make the tabletop more immersive for players.

Necromunda Roadmap Revealed

Necromunda RoadmapWhile House of Shadow might feature rules for the last of the six “classic” gangs, this is by no means the end of the excitement in the underhive. We’ve got plenty more coming up for Necromunda this year – take a look at our new road map to see a selection of the releases that are heading your way.

First up, we’ll be getting new weapons and upgrades coming fairly soon, which is always nice, but Q4 is what really has our attention! They don’t really give much away here, but there are still some gangs we could see. Maybe we see the return of Ratskins?

Blood Bowl Anfingrimm

Blood Bowl HeroThe only thing that comes close to deflating Anfingrimm’s imposing stature is his quaint adherence to the standard Blood Bowl uniform guidelines– he is never seen without league-mandated socks, which regularly draw chuckles from opposing team members. However, such behaviour simply marks them as prime targets for his next furious tackle.

New Skull-tribe Slaughterers Blood Bowl Team Release Revealed

If you thought it would be impossible for a team to be EVEN MORE VIOLENT than the Norse, the Orcs, or the Black Orcs, think again. The Skull-tribe Slaughterers are devotees of Khorne, which means a whole new level of brutality. Not just any old brutality, mind – the kind that gives even the most hardened apothecary nightmares.

Overall this new team looks sick! Of course, it’s all Blood Bowl-themed, but it also gives us a peek at what some of these units reimagined might look like, or perhaps what new 40k Chaos Berzerkers may also look like.

The team comes with the following units:

– 6x Bloodborn Marauder Linemen: The team’s psychotically aggressive core players

– 4x Bloodseekers: Berserk champions of the Blood God who can smash their way through any line

These will undoubtedly serve as the core and main actors in the team and will probably lightly reflect their AoS counterparts in terms of power level to each other.

Lastly, this is the final member of the new Blood Bowl team:

– 2x Khorngor: Ferocious Bestigors who bear the mark of Khorne – and an belligerent streak a mile wide

This model is especially exciting to look at because compared to the other models in the team and their standard AoS counterparts Khorngors are the most outdated by a huge margin. With them not having a model in-game for a few editions and iterations now.

Bloodspawn

AstrograniteTheir Big Guy, the mutated murder monster known as the Bloodspawn, exemplifies the unapologetic brutality of the team’s play style, and it’s guaranteed to terrify even the most hardened Blood Bowl coaches.

Roadmap for Underworlds

harrowdeep roadmapLongtime Warhammer Underworlds players may notice that this is a little different from previous seasons. Going forward, there will be two core sets released each year – each including an all-new pair of warbands, fresh board designs, universal cards, and more.

With two core sets per year, it will be even more minis than ever. So, if you don’t like Harrowdeep, you won’t have too much longer to wait.

harrowdeep parrotYes, it’s Warhammer Underworlds’ first parrot! Looks like quite the menagerie is joining our feathered friend Taros and Mannok da Kunnin’s Morkrow in Harrowdeep now.

Looks like GW is really leaning into the pet side of things for Underworlds. Looks like the crab really got GW going…

What are you hoping they release? Do you think we’ll see Ogors?
