The Open series only just hit mainland Europe with stops in Maastricht, and now it’s heading somewhere brand new. From September 11-13, Warhammer comes to Kraków, Poland, with the whole weekend built around Team Warhammer.

You’ll get games of Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, and Kill Team, plus the usual slate of painting classes and the famous Hobby Challenge. The traveling Warhammer Store rolls in too, so this is the first time Polish players can grab the 2026 event minis, Cadia Unbroken and Dawner’s Reward, without crossing country lines, alongside the event-exclusive Forge World and direct-order stock.

This one carries real stakes to beacuse Atlanta is the final official qualifier before the World Championships, so if you still haven’t punched your ticket, get the carry case out and pack your bags!

Grand Narrative players and costumed commanders at Atlanta

Running at the same time, the Grand Narrative returns to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, where over 400 commanders write themselves into the lore of 40k across a weekend of costumed players, characterful Lords of War, and story objectives that can flip on you mid-game. This year’s chapter is called ‘Edge of the Maelstrom’, and GW says more is coming soon for that.54

Last on the list, but really the first, GW also announced the first Warhammer Open of 2027. Right after the holidays, the series heads back to Palm Springs, California, from January 15-17.

Plus, as the first Open of the new year, it’s a fresh chance to start qualifying for the 2028 Championships. Expect the full painting-class and Hobby Challenge lineup, and maybe even a few sneak peeks at upcoming releases while you’re there.

So the date not to miss is June 12, when tickets open at 7 pm UK time. With Atlanta, being the last qualifier, means that the event will move fast for anyone still chasing Barcelona!

The Grand Narrative is also worth trying to grab a ticket to, if you feel like having some fun instead of grinding out a traditional tournament. That event is also worth keeping an eye on, since ‘Edge of the Maelstrom’ is still mostly just a name.
