I bought this to mix hobby acrylic paints. Shaking bottles vertically creates air bubbles and can cause paint to shoot up through the opening after removing the cap. It also does a real number on your arms. The vortex mixer swirls instead of shakes and can reconstitute even the most stubborn of separated acrylics. I will no longer develop tennis elbow from furiously shaking tiny bottles of paint. I’ve used it for Army Painter, Vallejo, Reaper, and Citadel bottles with great success.
